Sammy, and anyone else attempting 'self grooming', strategically placed mirrors are what you need! Might seem a bit up close and personal, but you really don't want to wind up damaging yourself down there.
Rach, that's sweet about your OH getting excited about the pram. Sometimes it seems like we're the only ones getting into the whole 'thing', then they go and do something like that, and we know that they really are excited!

So say no!! If you cannot be selfish right now when it is boiling and you are about to drop a sprog when can you be??
Says me.. OH has told his mum we will go there next weekend and I REALLY don't want to.. it is DD1's prom the Friday so we couldn't go until Saturday and would be coming back Sunday but driving over 100 miles in this heat at 33 weeks pregnant is NOT my idea of fun..

Heat is not getting to me too much today. I've stayed inside and luckily house is positioned nicely in the shade. I have to say I've been rather slobbish today as after a night out, I am still in the clothes I wore last night (reminds me of being 18 again....). Sadly, not as rock and roll as it sounds! We booked a hotel so I could go home when I wanted and sleep. I couldn't be bothered to shower this morning so put my old clothes back on to travel back home.
Have since not had shower.
Congrats emsywoo! Have you been buying some blue?
Rach I remember ages ago being told you had produced a list of baby buy essentials. Where can I find it?:j Comping Newbie :j

Pigpen stand your ground re the travellling my pregnant firend has had to travel to Kent today form manchester and got stuck behind a huge pile up on the motorway in this heat pregnant with two kids NOT much fun!
I would def play the pregnant card!!!
My bikini line is getting gradually bigger pretty much at the same rate as my belly, i may well have to treat myself to a wax!!!
We had our scan yesterday and we are team..........................PINK!!!!
DD over the moon and ds pretending to be gutted it's not a boy but cheered up when i reminded him he wouldn't have to share a room!
So now the name arguments start DH hates EVERY name i suggest!!!!
Congrats emsy on team blue xxxxxxI don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
We would be going TO Manchester.. lol
We know what sex the baby is and haven't even discussed names for weeks and weeks.. since befoe we knew.. I think we may just battle it out AFTER he has seen what giving birth entails....

I half considered the hair clippers the other day.. do you think they would work with a guard on of course.. I ain't going naked!
Yes they do work! I've done it before with OHs clippers:p it was his suggestion I wouldn't have used them for that otherwise! I don't use them on the lower areas I just trim the "wildness" with scissors!! I agree with Bexta too - do it in front of a mirror.
Congrats to emsy on team blue and pukka on team pink:T:T
I hate the outside at the moment:mad: The heat is bad enough but the pollen is awful I just want to stay inside all the time but then I also have to keep the windows closed ... don't know where I'd be without my fan!!
Popped into town earlier, I've treated myself to a lightweight dressing gown which can go in my hospital bag but be useful before then, plus 2 maternity vest tops. I had to go food shopping afterwards but came home in between to go to the loo!!:D0 -
pukkamum Congrats on team pink! It'll be lovely to have one of each. I bet DH is secretly pleased to have a little sister!
OH was the same when we found out we were on team pink. My favourite name, he hates as it reminds him of someone he works with. I had to remind him you can't associate names with people all the time otherwise we'll never find one... However when he started suggesting them, I started with it.:j Comping Newbie :j

Dont do it!!!! i tried it once and it hurts more than flaming waxing does and it was sore for days. I stick with veet and a mirror on the floor then wash off in the shower its not perfect but better than the forrest that was there :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Emsy and Pukka - CONGRATULATIONS on your blue and pink.
Thus far, bubs has no name whatsoever. We've been calling it 'Bob' since we found out.
