    Lovely pics Pigpen and Xmas:)

(hugs) for your sad news Michelle, fingers crossed labour goes quickly and smoothly for you, definitely sounds like things are progressing:) I would give the hospital a ring, just to let them know, so they can kick people out of labour rooms if need be;)

Xmas - I have bought a carry cot for the pushchair that I plan to sleep baby in at first. With my first two I had moses baskets but ds1 hated it and used it for a week or two, ds2 did use it for a few weeks but he was so clingy anyway that he was usually to be found in my arms!!! I bought a carrycot with ds3's pushchair and he used it both on the pushchair and to sleep in at night until he was 8wks old, and grew out of it....I am hoping to do similar this time:D

However I do also have a travel cot that has a bassinet section so did set that up with ds3 although never really used it much...but will set it up again this time anyway, as it has a handy clip on/off changing tray, which makes it much easier for dressing/doing the bums when their tiny:D

had a crampy tum all day on and off, not related to birth, I think I have just had a bit of a dodgy tum as I have had to use the loo 3 times and that is not like me at all. I haven't eaten anything dodgy though?

    xx

TNV - Thats really funny because I get the exact opposite, everyone asks me why i would want to go into hospital "theyre so clinical" and "you wont have any of your comforts with you"....... and I seem to be the freak for not wanting a home birth.....

The right thing is whatever is calm and relaxed for you, thats what makes for a good labour, a relaxed mum..... if you think you'll achieve that better at home then its nowt to do with anyone else really......

I wish I had at least one person here (not online like you lovely ladies) that shared that view!! All I am getting seem to be "well what if........ happens? Danger! Mayday!"

I think i'll be more relaxed at home, I've had no problems up until now and would prefer to be at home than at hospital for an extended period of time.

SHOULD I need to be transferred to hospital there is an ambulance station about 5 mins from my house with the hospital (at normal driving speed) is only 15 mins away so I am confident that I'm making the right decision. It's just hard to hear doom and gloom all day!

The next verse, dont be put off by other people if you think you will be more relaxed at home and there are no complications to your pregnancy then go for it. You have to do what is best for you and what will make you happiest not everyone else they wont be pushing that baby out. I think alot of moms go to hospital for their first to feel more secure as they dont know what to expect but there is absolutely no reason why most cant give birth at home. Deffinitely speak to your midwife.

I keep getting the you must be mad comments after the trouble i had with the first two but i dont care the third preganancy and labour were fairly straight forward i was meant to have a home birth then but they found maconnium in my water and wanted me to transfer so i did how ever bubs was fine and labour was good so i could have stayed at home. I have to say it was deffinately the easiest labour i have had as most of it was done at home and i was so much happier and relaxed. I will be most dissapointed if things dont go to plan this time.

Sir monster i use tinypic if you google it will come up load the pics on their as per instructions then copy the link provided for use on message boards and click the little postcard symbol on here and add the URL :-)

Pigpen you look about right for your weeks not huge at all maybe your bump looks a little low but then i dont know how you normally carry and pics can be deceiving, mind you i feel huge this time and i dont know why i was bigger with bubs im measuring smack on my dates this time.

Mine are all carried back-to-back so I always look like they are carrying low.. I do have a rather painful head in my ribs again at the moment though and am measuring 2-3 weeks ahead. I was bigger when baby was head down.. and it is so much more comfortable.. bowl of ice cream later for baby turning reasons only of course!!

I braved the scales earlier.. and almost shrieked when they showed just short of 14 stone!!!

Pigpen all i can say is you must carry weight really well as you dont look like you have any excess weight on you, as you can see from my pic my !!! is almost the same size as my bump lol ;-)

Cafc its water and it will all come out with the baby you will probably find you have only actually put about a third of all that weight on in actual bodily weight so to speak :-)
