Sure start maternity grant - can the midwife sign this before 29 weeks? at 27 or 28 weeks? It says you can't send it off before 29 weeks pregnant but doesn't specify it can't be signed by mw before then.
I have my next appt when I will almost be 28 weeks and really want to get it sent off asap so I can order my pram.

Pigpen, hope things calm down a bit for you - 29 weeks is definately too early. Get crossing your legs lady! :p

Had my leaving do/ baby shower tonight. Very touched by my co worker's generosity. I got 3 cute little outfits, a Peter Rabbit jingle ball and a really cute Mamas and Papas Gingerbread squiggle toy for the cot or pram.

    Hello bumps and mums

Sorry I've been MIA - I've been off getting engaged ;)

I have managed to catch up but as you all know baby brain wont let me remember what I need to say to who so its just gonna have to be a generic congrats to the new babies, welcome to the newbies, hugs to those who need them and labour vibes to all at 37+ :D:D

Well, I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and am HUGE (will post bump pic next) and I really not quite sure how I'm gonna manage another 23 weeks :eek:

I would love a water birth (lady with the tankini idea :T), didn't get the chance with DD1, couldnt with DD2 because of her congenital birth defect and most likely wont be allowed with this one as I am at risk of strep b+ and may need an iv drip as soon as my waters go - I will speak to the MW & Consultant about it.

Another random question - has anyone here had the LLETZ procedure done?

I've had it, about 6 years ago at the tender age of 20:eek:

Hurt like hell as they didn't leave enough time for the local anaesthetic to kick in, but apart from that it was ok.

    Congrats on the engagement!

Thanks DG - what have they said to you about it affecting your pregnancy, if anything at all? Have you had to have a cervical scan?

It was about 6 years ago that I had mine too.

Evening all, labour vibes to those poor sods who are overdue.
I'm feeling pretty much the same as you Michelle and also have a midwife appointment on Thursday, will be getting a membrane sweep although when I had one with the last baby it didn't do anything at all.Hopefully this time it will get things moving if they haven't already.

I'm sick of trying things like curry, pineapple, nookie even, nothing makes any difference at all.I'll be still here in 2 weeks time probably.

Anyhow I really should finish packing my hospital bag,I just don't see the rush with nothing happening.

This is my third baby and I still get blown away when I see other peoples baby pics and realise I'm actually gunna have a real proper baby. It's like OMG I'm having a real life baby!

    Morning

Congrats on the engagement, and lovel bump tigtag:)

Really crappy night here last night! I couldn't get to sleep at all, and just as I fell asleep at 1am dh came to bed and woke me up...then LO was restless and woke up about 3-4 times crying (teething) and then by 5am I was absolutely sweating and really uncomfortable! I ended up getting up when LO did at just after 6am, I am shattered now:( Dh is taking his mum to hospital for a pre-op this morning so I will go back to bed either ehn he gets back or LO naps...depends which is sooner;)

    xx
