Courgette.. try freecycle .. stick a wanted ad on if necessary.. there have been loads on ours. Best to double check though TENS machines are no usually advised in pregnancy.

Good plan, I could try mumsnet too. Wish my Hip grant would hurry up too, this SPD is getting quite pricey! Physio said they're absolutely fine but if I buy one from the chemist I'll have to lie and say I'm 37 weeks! I'm big enough to be, to the untrained eye at least

Yeah, my physio suggested it yesterday actually. I think It'll be cheaper for me to buy one as I'm only 29 weeks and hiring twice woud be about the same price as buying.

Do you know any good deals? Best I've seen is £44 to buy

eta: hospital have run out which is why I have to get my own

lloyds pharmacy have one for something rediculous like 7.50 but not sure if its the right one to use or if there are different types at all but might be worth a look

eta: says not to be used in pregnancy but not sure if they all just say that or not

£7.50! That's amazing! I think they all say not suitable in pregnancy but physio says they are so that's good enough for me. Have a mw appt tomorrow too, I'll see if she has one knocking about somewhere I could borrow before I commit and buy. I must say, I don't really like the sound of them. Putting electric through your body just sounds weird, but I'll give anything a go right now

yeah i feel like that too, had to go for my glucose tolerance test today and by the time i'd walked from the car to the department i was in tears. MW is coming at the weekend to see if they can get me anything to help around the house, there was even talk of a commode as we have no downstairs loo, made me feel absolutely fantastic!!!!!!

also might be worth a read of this http://www.acpwh.org.uk/docs/ACPWH-PGP_Pat.pdf

It's frustrating isn't it. I've realised I'm gonna need to start tying my legs together in bed again as they keep flopping all over the place and I wake up sore which puts me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. All these little things thar are total non-events when you don't have SPD become a massive deal. So glad I've got a car so can at least get to places.

    How many weeks are you?

CAFC, glad things are now getting sorted for. Hopefully Little L (or should that now be Big L?) isn't too far away, and you'll be having cuddles soon.

BIG VIBES for those needing them!!

Courgette, carp about needing the wheelchair, but it might give you some of your independence back as you won't be trapped in the house.

Had my MW appointment this morning, saw the Dr as she's on holiday, and I had sugar in my wee :( Got to go back tomorrow for a fasting blood sugar test, as the pr!ck test they did was a bit high. I hate fasting worse than them taking my blood. No food from 6pm SOB!

FINALLY... I have been able to pre-order the crib I have been waiting to be in stock since February!!!!!!!!!!

I can relax now as this is the last thing I needed for the baby.. ordered a couple of pairs of comfy trousers too so they better fit!!

I can go track down the crib stand I wanted and a few flat sheets and we are sorted... I hope!!

i'm 28 weeks today, had pain since 21 weeks, is actually the most horrible thing i've ever had wrong with me. At night I wake up every time i turn over and then usually can't get back to sleep until my next lot of painkillers have been taken. Am on paracetamol and codiene regularly so hoping a TENS might reduce the number of these I have to take as obv don't like taking them but the alternative seems to be lying on the floor crying. Keep telling myself there's only 12 weeks left although am dreading going overdue as was 8 days late with DS.

Pigpen, it's so annoying when things break! My oven broke last year and comet were going to replace most of the parts in it (most of which had already broken and been replaced in one case more than once!) with 3 days left in the insurance policy. I said to them, no that's not good enough I want it written off. I feel lucky because I got a voucher and only had to pay £170 for a much much better cooker that hasn't missed a beat!

I got them to write my washer dryer off as well, sooner or later they will stop letting me in:rotfl:

I only got this in February last year.. insurance jobby after the kitchen fire.. it has a 3 year warranty and I extended it.. but do i know where the policy is.. of course not!!

  • re greedy people eating other stuff at work

I once opened and Oreo cookie and put toothpaste in the middle ( he ended up foaming at the mouth literally & metophorically ) as I was fed up of the same guy always taking everything I had and never buying anything for anyone else - he didn't chance anything from me ever again

I think the laxatives would go down a treat - they you would know exactly who took it - whoever spent their day in the toilet
Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:
