Hi all, new to this particular thread. My daughter's baby is not due until Christmas so still quite early days. A friend of a friend (midwife) has listened to the babys heartbeart and has said it sounds like a train.....does this really indicate a boy. She was hoping for a girl this time round as she has 2 boys (3 & 6) and does not want to find out the sex before the baby is born. However, when you are told this it does get you thinking, is it another boy. Just would be a change to buy pink !0

Morning everyone x
I'm properly joining in over here now, was on the less than 12 week thread but had my scan yesterday and everything is going well. I'm 13 weeks today and little one is due 8/12/10. I can't wait lol
Fuzz I don't think you look anything like huge, probably about right for how far gone really x
Hurrah, been lurking on under 12 weeks thread still, and chuffed you are over here now0 -
Same here, with the others I've always looked really pregnant really early but starting this one a size 16  it took a long time to show, and when it did people just thought I'd eaten too much
,
Cherydee: I'm having little girl no.4 this time, but at least you don't have to start over again, I know where I am with girls. And from an MSE point of view, think of the hand me downsMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

LOL hang around long enough for all the "signs" and you'll be convinced you are having a unicorn with all the conflicting information :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Thanks for all your replies ladies, was very helpful.
I think I gave you all the wrong impression of the dog, which is quite easy to do over long distance on an internet forum!
He is a rescue dog, who is soft as anything and extremely well trained. He is fantastic around children, babies and adults and loves to have his belly stroked by anyone who visits! (including children!)
The only thing/issue he has is he won't let people in the house when I'm not in. If I'm in, he's not bothered and you won't hear a woof out of him as he is well aware that I am the "pack leader" and has no reason to stand up for himself.
If I'm not around though, someone wouldn't be able to have a key and get in to feed them or let them out to go to the toilet. Territorial was the only way I could think to phrase it! I am pretty confident he wouldn't attack anyone that came in, however he has an extremely loud and off-putting bark as he is a large breed dog. (Akita). This puts anyone off purely because of his size!
I understand peoples comments that it's only a dog, and I should just put down food and water but I was more concerned about them making a mess in the house if they need to go to the toilet! Especially if (touch wood it's not!) a three day labour etc! (Thinking worst case scenario here!)
Anyways, thanks for your help again, it was much appreciated and I'm sorry if it came out wrong before. It's hard to describe things as they are on a forum!
I'm now considering a home birth instead of a hospital birth to make things easier all around!
Good luck and positive vibes to everyone!

Morning all, hope everyones ok!
I'm having a lovely peaceful day as the manager isn't in!!!!! Wooooooooooooo!
Just been looking online at prams, I am totally clueless, I really have no idea what I want, think I want parent facing as I know I am going to panic if the baby has any breathing problems and I cant see them (I had this when I was a baby and have been told the baby will have asthma) so that will reassure me, I want to do lots of walking, but also wana take the pram out in the car (I have an astra) and preferably for it to last a good few years... any recommendations??? Please??!?! Not too bothered about a car seat fitting on the chassis, so I could buy this seperate as I want to avoid keeping the baby in it too long.
Just found this pregnant smiley, altho I am abit worried why she's naked!!! lol0 -

I do not think my bump is as big, but I was overweight to start with, so it is less obvious anyway :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Bizzarely, I look more pregnant as the day goes on ...............odd!Hi all, new to this particular thread. My daughter's baby is not due until Christmas so still quite early days. I ventured on to the TTC thread by mistake (long story!) got into reading some of it but it all seemed to be written in code! I thought being a pregnant lady I'd best not stick my oar in and ask someone to decode it
