Quiet here today.....
Been to asda with DH to buy some more sleepsuits. Discovered that the ones I bought from Primark are in the wrong age group. I thought I had loads of 0-3 vests/ss sleepsuits. Turns out I've just got loads of l/s sleepsuits. Got 2 x 7 pack short sleeve, and then got 1 x 3 pack of sleeveless. Tomorrow going to swap the 7x pack in 3-6 for a 6-9 pack.
Convinced myself and DH that we would be spending it eventually so it's not like we're going to miss it.....
Cooked a very yummy bbq style dinner. Weather here has been glorious. And someone was having a bbq. We dont have one, so cooked sticky sausages, sauted new pots, and sweetcorn....was yummy. Think I'll be hungry again later though....
So washed the latest round of baby stuff and had that drying out on the line.
Emptied out a few boxes in baby's room. Sounds like we were all doing that today! And I gave it a hoover.
Found all my payslips for my MA as well so will be able to post that on monday.
Cleaned the bathroom up a bit as well, and DH bought me a new mop and bucket (awwww LOL) so tomorrow I can do the kitchen and bathroom floors.
And shortly I will be having my first cup of RLT!!!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Bearing in mind we dont have a car at the moment and was hoping not to have to bother with one for the forseable future we may have to plump for the phil & teds as i cant see me being able to get any of the others on the bus. the only other two i like is the icandy and the baby jogger but they cost a fortune and although i can get the money together for one i just cant warrant spending that much :-(
Aww, it's horrible when you have to get something you don't quite like! Can you do a big eBay selling spree of any old pushchairs, clothes, anything really! You could put the money to the Jogger/iCandy and pretend like it was money you were given so won't feel like you are spending as much:p Only other thing I can suggest is that once you are using the P&T you might quite like it:cool:Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Xmas.. I really really x 1,000,000.. hate the Bill and Teds (because they are just stupid.. like Bill and Ted!) I wouldn't have one given!!! Who would want the poor littlie in the shopping basket? They cannot see a thing, they look so uncomfy and the whole idea behind them is ludicrous. Most of the sellers of pushchairs hate it too and cannot understand why it is so popular! For bus journeys could you not have the baby in a sling and littlie in a buggy for a few months while you save up or sell crap until you can afford a proper pushchair? I had the bertini bidwell with toddler seat and the emmaljunga twin and with toddler seat for my bunch. I am too little to manage the tandems types. Do they not still do those marco ones that are only marginally longer than a normal ppushchair but suitable for 2 tiddlies?...
marco sky.. there are a few on ebeastLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I like emmaljunga but they are pricey too it looks like you can still get the marco ones they look quite goods will see if i can find one to have a proper look at.
The baby show is on at the nec next month im thinking of going to see what i can find there.
I do have a mahoosive bag of baby boys clothes once the 4d scan confirms im team pink i will start sticking them on ebay in bundles and see what i can raise. I am going to sell the pushchair we have but until we get a new one obviously i need it and i was hoping we could use the carrycot for this one until they were too big for it but if we need to raise the xtra funds i may part with it and manage without i can always use the travel cot down stairs instead :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Can any recommened a light weight car seat ,we are using DS's old Mamas n Papas one at the moment from his travel system but it weighs a ton0

We've been buggy shopping today and think we are definately decided on the icandy - just need to save the pennies now.
I had a phil & teds for my two - ds was 22 mths when dd born - I really liked it.0 -
ethelsmum how did the younger take to being underneath you see i know my bubs just wouldnt go underneath he is to inqusitive and just wouldnt like being caged in i think the way they are brought up that the new one would be the same i mean what kind of interaction are they going to get with the world outside being down there. I really would like the opinion of someone who has used one as the shops rave about them but its not the same until you have used it on a day to day basis :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

You'll have to let me know what you've got hunIf I can donate some funds to the new pushchair fund, and save buying new, would be ideal all round...
I know most people would probs be "I'd rather buy new" but I just like to re-use, reduce, recycle
My legs feel really weird tonight, like a bit jelly like and light..... as if I've exercised too much, or am over heated....
Just wondering if I was stood up too long in the shower :rotfl:
Baby is once again on a massive shuffle round in my belly...... why just before i'm about to go to bed?! Just chunked through two pints of water as well (was desperate for agua!), so got to wait up a while till that goes through LOLWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hi All,
Does anyone have the Babystyle Oyster? I'm thinking of ordering one, what's the deal with buying the whole set i.e. the pram, the baby carrier and the carseat? Anyone know roughly how much that is in total and if there is a good website to order it??
xxoxoxxoo 28+2
We have it! Not that we've used it yet (I'm 25 weeks).
We got the pram, the carrycot and footmuff and altogether came to £368 I think on kiddicare.com, but then you get 4% cashback with Quidco as well. Bambino Direct also have it for nearly as cheap and you get cashback there with Quidco also.
We're going to get either a Maxicosi car seat (you need adaptors for this though) or the Britax SHR (don't need adaptors). You can get the Oyster car seat to match as well though, but don't know how this has done in safety tests.
We got it in black and green.
It's incredibly easy and lightweight to use as far as I can tell and so much cheaper than loads of equivalent brands.
It comes with 2 raincovers as well.
HTH! Hope everyone is well, have just got back from holiday and not even going to attempt to catch up!! x0 -

This had me giggling for ages.. must be the hormones!
Well, DH has been at new house decorating all day, I havent seen it yet. But poor DH decorated in his COAT (yes... COAT) as it was cold- heating not set up yet. So he's destroyed the expensive designer jacket with white gloss paint. Bless him.
Back to work on Monday after Easter hols... been having lots of crazy nightmares and getting a bit worked up about it.
4 weeks then MAT leave!:eek::eek:First baby born 10/06/10:heartpuls 6lb 10z:heartpulsI love my little family0
