I will be buying one-size- up cheapies from QS. And my store is closing down so they might be even cheaper :D:D

Disposable pants just seem like a waste of time and money to me!

Rach; glad you enjoyed your holiday, just curious where abouts in west wales did you go? well done on all the walking, very impressive!!

Cafc: Loving your nursery, its nice to see a neutral coloured nursery like ours will be! I think your room is the same size as our baby's room but we still have some of our own stuff in there, such as OH's desk (which I think will stay in there as we don't have the space anywhere else) otherwise I have a wardrobe (about 1/2 babies and 1/2 our paperwork!) a cot bed, changing unit, toy box (this is full of our carp but will be emptied) and a full length mirror! It is a mess ATM but I will post pics at some point, I would love to post pics with all the bedding in the cot but I dont feel like unwrapping it all and packing it back up (no point having it out for 3 months!). The only thing I dont have is a chest of drawers, theres no space, we were planning on buying a chest of drawers with a changing unit ontop but without OHs job we will have to make do, I will pick up some cheap wicker type baskets and keeps bits and pieces on the changing unit shelves.

Guna keep an eye out for kool bathroom matts! and i will look out for canvasses and paint :D

    great pics xmas!

kitkat - we went to Pembrokeshire, we go there at least once a year and would move there tomorrow if we could get jobs. we've walked the whole coast path in the past (though only bits this time!!).

Not a good night in some ways, DH came to bed about 12, I was still awake as I'd been reading...and then I really needed the loo about 12.30 and woke him just as he'd fallen asleep...he was not impressed and ranted at me :( saying he was going to permanently move into the spare room, etc... Anyway, in the end we rowed for about 30 mins and then he got up, eventually coming back to bed a bit later! We have the spare room and bed for when we need it but I don't want to sleep in separate rooms for the next 20 weeks!! I was in a lot of pain with my hip and couldn't get comfy but I managed to wedge myself with 3 pillows which helped.

Anyway, all water under the bridge...I think 15 days constantly in each others presence is enough so I am going to church this am to give us both some space..best run as need to leave in 15 for the bus and not showered yet!!

  • Congrats Xmaslolly76 - lovely pics.

As for disposible pants - I got some for hospital when I had ds. I got them from tesco (I am a size 10 pre-preg and in mat clothes etc) and I got size 12-14 ones. The midwife laughed at me when my hubby got them out for me to wear after the birth :o she said they all come up really small and don't fit anyone!! Why are they on every labour bag list?? Lucky I had some cheap normal knickers with me too. I did try and get the disposible pants on to prove her wrong :rotfl:but couldn't get them past my knees! They are awful! They went straight in the bin! I have packed normal knickers only this time.

I really want this baby to come now! I want a cuddle!! I am now 37+5. I had ds at 37+2 so I feel overdue :( I thought baby would be here by now :( I ate a whole pinapple last night :p but still nothing lol! My son was 7lb 7oz at 37 wks so I don't want this baby to take much longer cos it might end up being massive!!

See what others say too but tbh 3 packs of size 1 nappies is quite a lot so I would't get more of them. They are not in them very long (if I remember right!) and my son was 7lb 7oz when born. I would wait and see what size you think you need after the first week or so - if there is someone you can send out for them.

I have got a small pack of pampers new baby size 1 and a small pack of huggies new baby size 1. I then have size 2 new baby pampers ready. I used pampers new baby until size 3 with ds. I then found huggies better until he was walking then went to pampers baby dry. It is personal choice really and I think it also depends on the sex of the baby too.

I will get Pampers if they are on offer, huggies are ok for when baby is tiny but boy are they useless by the time baby is crawling about!

I've always just bought the tesco ones in the purple packs and found that they outperformed all the (more expensive) ones!

Rach: Pembrokeshire is lovely :) used to go on holiday there all the time, OH likes the south coast so nowadays we always head out of Wales just wish we lived closer to the coast rather than in a valley with no pub, shop or civilization!

Xmas: thanks for sharing your pics, they're very impressive, the detail is amazing :) we were going to use the hipg money for a 4d scan but now we are using it for a pram. It's great to see what the scan looks like tho :)

I had planned on sorting more stuff to sell at a car boot today but I just can't leave the sofa! Must get motivated tho!

Awww Xmas... she has very girly face:D

I'm a Huggies girl here. Used them for DS all the way through no problem. Pampers leaked:( My best mate starting off with Pampers with her daughter and wasn't impressed so I converted her to Huggies.

And I'm a converted cheapie knickers girl here (for the birth not all the time!!:p:rotfl:) I used disposable with DS cos I thought "I had too":o

Well ladies we've decided we're gonna find out the flavour tomorrow if bubs isn't naughty like all the other times *sigh*:) We were gutted when we didn't find out at the last scan BUT we're prepared for the fact that this baby has been nothing but trouble so we probably won't find out!!;)

I'm kind of a little bit scared of finding out if that makes sense???:o But very excited too:j

So what do you reckon ladies Team Blue or Tean Pink??? Take into account he/she has been a little bugger right from the start!! I would say that's a boy thing;):rotfl:

    I'm saying Team Yellow:p
