Cafc wondering if you have sorted your MA yet? really want to hear its all gone through with yours to feel more confident ill be successful with mine as we are in similar positiions of having left our jobs early preg i think? Ill be gutted if i dont get it although dont see why i shouldnt.

Its posted and (ideally) being processed as we speak....

I left my job when I was around 9/10 weeks.

The only way I see me not getting it, is because of that stupid form! Not because I dont meet the criteria. And so if that happens, as with most things, im sure you can appeal it. In which case I'll be writing them a strongly worded letter!:rotfl:

Do you know if you meet the criteria for the sure start grant? We dont atm but you get 3 months after birth to apply so hoping once bubs is born, and some of our elements "change" we can apply then and get it....:A

CAFC, my mum's dogs just look really smug when they've dropped one and then walk away as if trying to blame it on you. We should so be the anti-crew :rotfl:

Oh ours can just carry on in his perfect dreamy state, like nothing wakes him if he doesnt want to be woken.... I however have been known to have to leave the room because of him and the smell!!!

I am applying for it as i already get child tax credit for DS that is a higher rate than the family element so according to criteria we should be eligible. You prob will be once your claiming tax credits you have to be on a rate higher than 1100 (thereabouts) for baby under one, thats the min so most people get more. tax credits arent affected by MA at all either so thats something! I didnt know this when i had my first cos really we should have got it after he was born due to this but you live and learn!

Its the form i am worried about its that stupid maternity leave question that makes no sense! i will be appealing as well, getting matb1 wednesday so going to send it this week or next hopefully! You will have to let me know how you get on got my fingers crossed for you!

well i'll be annoyed if I do have to appeal based on that question (which is the only one I saw a problem with on my form) especially after writing an explanation on the additional information sheet.

I dont know anything about tax credits.... so none of that makes any sense to me LOL oh well, just have to see what happens when babs is here xx

I think when I ordered it said delivery date the 12/5?? I did wonder about the timing for you!!:rotfl:

    EDIT: "shipping date 14/05"

Thanks sooooo much smartie! Just pre ordered mine and youve saved me 20 pounds at least! :T:T:T Let's hope bubs doesnt arrive before the pram or else he/she wont be going anywhere!
just realised i put i love my bear confused with the cot im getting frm toys r us! i meant please look after me! im hopeless atm

I think you can mix and match both as they are very similar, for example, Mothercare have a sale on their bear rug at the mo which is pretty much the same as the one at Babies r Us. I really wanted some cute curtains, but the sets are too short for our windows, I think I just want those cute teddy tiebacks to be honest.

Now... time to order our cot, moses basket and bedding! :T:T:T

Michelle - couldnt you get the tie backs and then just get some plain curtains which are the right length???

would make it easier to change decor when baby gets a bit older, as you'd just need to change tie backs...
