...Not sure what else to do as we have another family wedding this year and i dont want to book anything and then find out they are doing the same. Its making alot of things awkward at the moment and i dont want to do anything to aggrevate an already tense situation....

Why not get together with the other bride, pool ideas & share them out?

I'm loving all these things, I do want to find something big and bold which is very us but I also want lots of little things which just make the day refelct as much as possible about us!! I just wish I could think of things the way you all do!! My brain thinks of scientific things not creative things its rubbish!!

My OH made me laugh last night, when he got home from work he asked "whats news?" i said "nothing much", and he said, "what not even on that wedding forum thing you live on!!!"

Whoooopsie, I think someones getting jealous of the new ladies in my life!!

They were really simple, I bought some plain silver wineglass rings from ebay (it was I think £1.50 for 100) and I threaded a bead pattern on using seed beads, (tiny weeny ones), glass beads, and a butterfly charm in the middle which I also got from ebay.

I put the charm onto a jump ring first, so it hung the right way. Beads are SO cheap on ebay, then I just bent the end round with some round nosed pliers so they didn't fall off the end, and could be fastened onto the glass. It's quite time consuming, but I only needed to do about 60, and start to finish probably took me 6 hours in total (with faffing about with different designs etc).

I also did handmade bracelets for my bridesmaids as bridesmaid gifts, and put them in a cheap silver trinket box that said "for our bridesmaid" - the box was only a couple of £'s and they all loved them. Handmade jewellery rocks!!

edit - if you want more detailed how to, let me know and i'll send you a PM with instructions and links to where I bought some of my bits and peices - for the charms, china is the cheapest place to get them, but obviously it takes a while to deliver so best not to leave to last minute

Attempted several times over the last year, but for one reason or another it hasnt worked and has even made it worse. Its all very upsetting as we put our wedding back a year so there wouldnt be any arguements with the weddings being close together, but the hassle is still there. Wishing we'd just gone and done what we wanted, as they have done just that regardless of our feelings.

I just want their wedding over with so i can get on with planning mine out in the open without being made to feel guilty, or wondering if ive booked the same (she wont discuss her plans incase i "copy", why would i intentionally make our weddings the same??)

Only 3 months til the cage door is opened, then i can be a busy (and happy) bride in the open!!

    Aww thanks,

AA card on each place setting with a link to a photo website for uploading picture taken on the day for all those with digi cameras (we setup a photobucket account, and included the username and passwords - was a god send, particularly as our professional photos were disappointing, and facebook shrinks the pictures too much to get a decent print).
    .

Thanks for this idea. Was going to hand out CDs to anyone with a digital camera so they could burn the pictures and send them to us. But this sounds much more economical :)
