Or do you have room for a games area with things like Twister, Jenga, Snakes & Ladders?

This is a good idea - I saw something similar at a venue I was visiting.

You can get a giant jenga for under £20 here:
    http://www.charliesdirect.co.uk/products/kingfisher-giant-tower-jenga-game

Inflatable connect four (will pack away easily) for uner £15 at Toys R Us:

And there are loads of cheap 2nd hand Twister games on ebay.

i'd love to do the "cheaper" version of a photobooth, buying the props cheaply, making up some fun signs people can hold in the pics so we can have some fun pics (both me and the oh are pic mad) but he's not 100% sure on it.

i'm also planning to have a wedding wish tree, the plan is to make the place settings the cards so there names will be on the front they can write a message on the back and then place it on a "tree" that i have to figure out how i'm going to make lol

i've also come across another great idea, another couple who are getting married this year are planning on getting a picture frame, get a drawing of a tree big enough to be housed in the frame and getting all the guests to do put leaves on the tree but using their thumb prints. i think this is a great idea... might be a bit messy though but very unique.

    here's something like they've planned http://www.weddingbycolor.com/dirtndiamonds/milestones/115435

also here's a wedding day that had both the table and the thumb print tree

another variation on the thumb print tree (each guest signed their thumb print)

and again this time printed on a canvas

and this is a nice little site for ideas too http://www.projectwedding.com/

Hey great ideas ladies, I love the thumb prints on the tree, but am too scared we'll end up with paint everywhere!!! maybe I can get one of the ushers to man it for an hour or so!!!

Last night I decided I wanted a fair ground ride, not the most MSE idea i've ever had!!! You should have seen OH's face when I told him! "and how much does that cost" was his reply!! :rotfl:

Hmmm, looking into costs of a candy floss machine, and also looking into costs of a few other things.... I just wish it didnt take up so much time and brain power!!!

Are you having many children to the wedding? We had a bubble blowing machine (I think it cost about £15) and that kept kids entertained for over an hour!

you won't need paint all you need is a coloured ink pad not as messy and easy to come by in most craft stores

Ink is easily washed off too, just have some baby wipes on hand and there won't be any messy marks!
