Boots Letter

Not sure where to post this so ive decided to put it here
Im just after some advise really
Recieved a letter today off Boots about an aftershave promotion. It is addressed to me a MR but the opening line reads
WE KNOW YOU LIKE TO TREAT YOUR MAN NOW AND AGAIN. HERES SOMETHING YOULL BOTH LOVE.
I just think this is out of order for them to send a letter addressed to me personally yet open the start of the letter like that, no one should presume someones sexuality.
Anyone any ideas on what I should do and what i should ask for.
It has really annoyed me!

Write to their head office and say what you've said here.
I wouldn't expect anything other than an apology, but someone should point out that these kind of general mailings are inappropriate for millions of their customers.0 -

I really don't think they are presuming what sexuality you are, more like a genuine mistake on their database. I am a Mrs who bought her last new car from Citroen, all the marketing mailshots I now receive from Citroen come addressed to MR. I choose to ignore it rather than think hey are they saying I look like a bloke. Maybe I should sue them or my Mum as she is their marketing manager.................0 -
I got this this morning too but I do buy my hubby stuff from Boots so they probably see this. It's only a sample of aftershave but nice thought.
However, I would say chill out. There are wars going on, people starving, people dying everyday and your moaning coz someone put MR on your letter!
What is sooooo bad????0 -

what HE said...oops!! i hope i'm not being presuming:rotfl:0 -
The Boots letter sounds fine, but obviously missed the bit about making sure the house is nice & clean/dusted & a tasty meal ready on the table for your man when he gets home.
I think you should ask them to add it in - it's an obvious mistake.0 -
come on....just look at whats happening in lebanon. Surely there are more important issues to focus in on!
