    So - do we write a to do list each day - cover a different room each day - or each week? Any help appreciated. :)

    It's up to you how you do it. You could even sign up to flylady & get the umpteen emails telling you what to do at a totally inappropriate time of day!
    Here is a link to today's reminders from flylady: This week's zone is the kitchen. http://www.flylady.net/pages/reminder2.asp

    I know what you mean about getting the lists & spreadsheets done & not much else, though! I set up a wonderful household folder, & it does get used quite a bit, but not as much as I originally intended. I keep on thinking, tomorrow I will do it properly!!!!!! Hmmmm....... manana, manana......

    Thanks to snowy-owl for directing me here from the 1st thread.Glad to see Moggins is cracking the whip!. I am in desperate need to get some sort of order into my house and life but as i said on the 1st thread its one day at a time for me or else i will end up not acheiving and then giving up. For me today its catching up with the washing/ironing,sorting out a cupboard in my kitchen,washing the kitchen floor and general/usual tidy up. Also, if i have time i want to take 4 black bags of unwanted items to the charity shop. definitely baby steps for me especially as the children are home for the hoildays. I Will report back this evening on how i have done and also to see how every-one is doing, Good luck every-one.

    Ok. Here goes.....

    This week's mission is to get on top of the laundry mountain.

    well, not literally, although that would flatten the heap a bit!

    I mean, get it sorted, ironed where necessary and put away. And then to keep the laundry up to date.
    I'm very good at getting it washed & dried daily, no problem there. But ironing, folding, putting away........ hmmmm...

    I was lurking on the last Flylady Challenge - but it did inspire me! The only problem is that I've since been re-painting the dining room and got a bit side-tracked. Now everything is everywhere again but it HAS to be until the new carpet is fitted.... THEN everything can go back in its place.

    AND I have a glut of plums to jammify and chutneyfy!!!!

    I do the Flylady Swish and Wipe though and have followed SeeWeed's example by doing a monthly menu plan....

    I've signed up for the UKFlylady e-mail messages but somehow prefer the ones from the US urging me to go to bed when I have just got up.

    It's not just an inapropriate time of the day - it's the wrong day!!! LOL We are a day ahead of everyone else (including the UK).

    OK - this is my tomorrows (Wednesday) plans:-

    kitchen duty:
    wipe cupboard fronts;
    pull out appliances and wash floors under and behind them.

    House moving things to do
    Phone re house insurance;
    Phone regarding how far in advance we are paying the rent so we can stop that in time.
    Check house as vinyl and wooden floors are supposed to be getting laid tomorrow.

    General
    While on phone to insurance sort out 3rd party for sons car;
    Go with son to pick up above mentioned car (he's saved the cash and is buying his first car tomorrow);
    Freak out quietly and to myself as I see son drive off in car! (How did he grow up so fast?)

    OK, it's my second day on holiday and I wasted yesterday fannying around, reading, surfing, sleeping. So today I start.

    Today
    Continue laundry catch-up (2 more loads)
    Hoover whole house (psychological benefits are limitless)
    Cook something in bulk (probably soup or bean casserole)
    Change bed
    Dust
    Tonight's reward is a long walk with the dogs

    Rest of Week
    Make curtains for bedroom
    File paperwork
    Clean windows
    Get the breadmaker dusted down and fired up
    Clean bathroom
    Plant out some heathers
    Beyond the realms of reality here, but I'd love to get some decorating done ... I think this is pushing it somewhat though!

    Yep! I'm in the Flylady challenge too.

    What I like about it is the 15-minute thingy. It isn't too daunting. Now if she said something like "Now today flybabies we are going to iron every piece of creased clothing in the house!" it would be a different matter.

    Must go and change my shoes (these are uncomfortable) and find my timer, then its off to tackle the [STRIKE]Dining room[/STRIKE] dumping ground!

    Good luck flybabies, do let us all know how you got on!
