HELP - New poll ideas needed

There is a lot of advertising on television targetted at children. Do you think:-

a) All advertising targetted at children should be banned.
b) Some advertising banned (toys, junk food etc).
c) Fine as it is.
d) TV viewing is restricted for my kids to limit the effects.

If you had all your credit cards taken away from you for say 3 months, how would you cope financially:-

a) I'd cope fine without them.
b) I'd struggle a little bit but manage, just.
c) I'd have withdrawal symptoms and panic over every purchase.
d) I wouldn't cope at all, I use my cards for everything.
e) I don't have credit cards.

Also, on my way home the other day I stopped to speak to a guy who was homeless. He was selling The Big Issue and I felt sorry for him, if I had a bottomless bag of money I'd be giving out to all the homeless. I know what it is like as I have been there. I gave him sufficient money to have a hostel dorm bed for the night and bought him something to eat and a large cup of tea. It is such a shame that in this day and age people have to live as he does. When I got home I sat and cried, just really feel for people who have to live like that. I feel very grateful for what I have. Next time you are out Christmas shopping if someone approaches you selling The Big Issue etc acknowledge them and give them a smile and buy their magazine if you can. I know there is bad press at times about homeless people etc but there are genuine cases.

well its not an idea for a new poll but I do think the site should consider having less forums. I find it hard to know where to post a new message

I would like to see the results of a genuine (i.e. using this forum) poll concerning the government election.
e.g.

Did you vote at the last general election?

Would you vote for an INDEPENDANT (non-party) candidate?
I know that discussing politics is contentious, but there has to be something wrong with a system which allows less than 50% of the electorate to decide who governs.

For the record, I am not connected in any way whatsoever with any political party or politician.

Exclude your mortgage, but include credit card, store card, car loan, catalogue, bank loan, overdraft, student loan, fines,family loan etc,

a)negligible / less than £100.00
b) between £100 & £3000 still in control
c) between £3000 & £10000, a little bit bothered
d) between £10000 & £20000, well concerned
e) over £20000, scared
