I don't get ITNG at all - it's all slightly freaky. More into Peppa Pig myself and would very much like to adopt little brother George.:o
DH harbours some very aggressive feelings towards Angelina Ballerina which probably need talking through at some point.
I can't stand Angelina Ballerina. Or wow wow wubbzy (?)
They do my head in. Not keen on dora and diego either :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Isn't that Iggle piggle always sneaking into Upsy Daisy's bed ?.
Dirty boy !!!!.
On a more serious note I think the 'floating away' scene is a subliminal message about death."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".
!!!!!! is all that about?0 -

ITNG is weird. I dont know what i'd rather L watched when she shows interested in kids shows0 -
Anyone old enough (apart from me ) to remember the children's poem Wynken, Blynken and Nod? Iggle Piggle at the start of ITNG always reminds me of this poem, it's about a child going to sleep and having lovely dreams. In giving

I had to leave the room this morning as there had been 2 episodes on and I could feel my self losing it as he had just floated off at the end of one episode then he was floating off again at the start of the next one. I'm guessing this just my affliction or I could just be going bonkers.
Bless you.
There might be something in it though! http://www.darrenlock.com/mt/archives/2008/10/the_tragedy_of.htmlIn the first dream, Iggle Piggle is happy and having all sorts of adventures in his dream world, The Night Garden, but in reality (or the first layer of dream reality) he is in fact alone, abandoned on the sea at night. At the end of every show, all the characters go to sleep except Iggle Piggle, because he's already asleep, alone on the dark sea. Now what I find upsetting is that the baby at the beginning of the show continually dreams of poor old Iggle Piggle being alone on the sea. He is destined to be alone in the imagination forever until his dreams bring him the friends and company of which he desires.
So it is a programme about the dream world, the nature of desire and isolation.0 -
I think its acutally in one of my childrens poem books but i am old enough to remember the original bagpuss show and Trumpton ;-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0
