BEEN ON THE PHONE TO THE COUNCIL - ARRANGED COLLECTION OF TWO CLAPPED OUT SOFAS AT A COST OF £17.00. cOULD ADD THREE ITEMS TO THE LIST AS THEY'LL TAKE 5 FOR THAT but HAVE NO MORE. gAVE CARD DETAILS then SHE TELLS ME IT WILL BE anytime 10 DAYS AFTER PAYMENT - APPARENTLY THEY CANNOT GIVE A DAY rolleye0010.gif And I can't 'just add' three more items to be dumped - they have to be listed
(oops sorry caps) anyway I then said that was no good as I don't want them cleared before Thursday so I have cancelled collection. means I will have to put up with sofas on the front for up to a fortnight after Thurs rolleye0010.gif
so I might just get a sledgehammer and break them up myself then they'll fit in the car...
Have ordered DS some hayfever meds on line having rememebered we took him to the docs last year and he got some then, so now I might not have to drag him to the docs. he particulalry wants the eye drops as he found them very releiving.
Looks like kitchen /DR today - mine needs it - I have three handbags dumped in the DR making a hotspot of their very own. Kids still off here - an attempt to keep term legth at 6 weeks;)

    Morning all

It was heaving at fracture clinic. Back next week. His bone has moved a bit but not too much so far. He now has a much sturdier bright blue cast on.

Viv - lovely to see you

    Mags the bedroom looks great

macpep hope your toes gets better soon

    msgnomey Happy Birthday

Diva - hope you are recovering sweetie

Not feeling incredibly motivated. I'll put the washing on the line and give the kitchen a once over to get started I think.

Valli - how about offering your sofas on freegle. You may not want them anymore, but someone else might. Or finding out whether your local furniture reuse network can pick them up.

TBH one actually has broken springs and they are 12 yrs old and tatty (and chewed when SOME people weren't keeping an eye on gerbils) - I can do without people coming to look at them then turning their noses up at them...:o
so it WILL be decluttering somehow (see it is flying Toots;))

Bleeping heck....it's amazing what I can achieve in half an hour when I put my mind to it.......

    Washed dishes.
    Made bed.
    Damp dusted our bedroom.
Cleaned mirrors and window in bedroom.
Fiddled with main bathroom toilet as it isn't flushing properly - it's still not flushing properly. :(
Let man in to read the electricity meter.
Opened post - free dig in seeds arrived.
Opened greenhouse door as temp is over 30 degrees.
Made a cup of coffee which I'm now going to enjoy. :D
