Mumto5 (((hugs))) and loads of get well vibes for DD - i hope the party goes well tomorrow - it will keep you occupied anyway and very well done getting organised for the funeral - true friends will always help - I think your idea with your DB is excellent - you can then celebrate your nan as you both remember her and in your own way. I am glad you are feeling and coping better - like we said before just deal with each day as it comes and you will get there. love and hugs, toots xx
    Peace will be mine

Probably the best option... I mean, where's she going to keep a baby? She'll have to evict another child first... a puppy could live in the garden and eat leftovers plus she'd be able to train it... just think of the advantages :D

Froddy's still stuck in Belfast. Colleagues stuck in Europe have driven back across europe... they got themselves onto the extra eurotunnel trains overnight, but everything is now fully booked! However, colleagues stuck in the US are considering sea because flying to elsewhere in Europe won't help the - they'll just be stuck nearer to home!

I really hope this doesn't last. I'm having enough problems working out how to get from Geneva to Sofia in time as it is! :o

Hugs to Froddy! But, she could catch a boat and a train as a last resort ...

I think my Sis and BiL are probably stuck in Cyprus...

The 5 night cruise from New York to Southampton is a lovely way to travel across the pond. I know, because I've done it ;)

If they could get a flight to spain, there's always ferries across from Bilboa etc.... and even trains and it's driveable...

I think some of them are quite looking forward to it... as long as they have some kind of network access to work they'll be fine! (after all, they don't want to take it as leave - this week's travel bills are going to be phenomenal with all the alternative travel arrangements )

Ferries and trains are pretty much fully booked (even though extras are being put on). One colleague had huge trouble getting a ticket from Paris to Germany last night. Others hired a car in germany and drove back (arrived home at 8am)

Mid May - Geneva one day, Sofia the next. It seemed a good idea at the time, but it turns out the connections aren't good at the best of times...

Quite a productive evening work wise... pity about the house work!

DB & SIL are going to devon for their holiday instead of Italy...
