  • DD2 now has clean clothes all put away rather than stuffed down sides of the bed/hidden under quilts/scrunched up behind the door.

And shoes put away, coats hung up, floor vacuumed and two single beds pushed together in the absence of her sister, made up with the new bed linen from John Lewis I was convinced to buy last week due to the Flylady thread! She has commandeered my winter quilt and is adamant that a bed that huge makes her royalty!

The cats seem suitably impressed - but one keeps looking at it, wandering into my room as though to say 'but - I thought -', sees my bed, walks out back to DD's bedroom and is looking a bit perplexed.

Bathroom sparkly, kitchen passable, my room quiet, peaceful and very nice with my set of the new linen :D.

Treated us to a set of little Turkish tea glasses today (£3 from Turkish supermarket) - the perfect size for DD as she only ever drinks half a cup, an enormous chicken sausagemeat thingy (her SB is half-Moroccan, so she is into quite a few Halal substitutes), tons of dinky cucumbers (she has them with packed lunches), a load of lamb shoulder fillet, feta and a big bunch of fresh mint. Dinner is sorted for about 9 days there.

We also had two big pide breads, still warm from their bakery, but she was hungry and the bus was slow. We now have half of one sesame Pide.

We will be having chicken grilled tonight, lamb tomorrow and might go back in the morning to pick up a fresh watermelon - easy breakfasts for next week when back at school!

Back hurts now - she has suggested that, as I have done so much for her, after dinner I veg out and she will deal with the cats and getting stuff ready for the morning, having already put the shopping away, made a cuppa and taken the bin bags down, including the cat litter one!

Who is this child? (and can I keep this one - I don't mind if there's a pod in a cupboard somewhere!)
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    Evening all

    Happy birthday, LadyL.

I've made good progress with decluttering our bedroom in the last couple of days and clean clothes have disappeared from downstairs (DS2's and my clothes are put away and DS1's and DH's are in the respective rooms, as I'm not responsible for them). I've also spent 4 hours flying at work today - flinging like made. I was going to carry on with the list, but the weather turned so nice this afternoon that DS2 and I spent some time in the garden, sowing and planting. We're off to Mr M's in a minute, so I don't think much else will get done.

Tomorrow I may be back at a garden centre where DH and I went yesterday. We saw a nice bench to replace our old one, which is falling to pieces. There's also a place nearby which does playhouses. We're still looking for an affordable two-storey. Must also get back to school work.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

toots - your garden plans, are you up to planting up pots of summer bulbs?

I now need to S&S the kitchen, put the towels in the TD, sort the clean washing mountain and put it awa and do a full clena of the LR.

    Thanks tootti

Last August we shifted enough garden to fill a 14 tonne skip, that was back breaking and did have me on my hands and knees, trips to the toilet had to planned in advance, plus BF left a shovel behind my foot, which when I turned round caused me to fall over. I know have 9 scars on my left leg but BF still insists that "the fall" wasn't that bad :rotfl:

So in theory tomorrow should be easy
