I have just decluttered DD who has gone to her dad's
    who
    with his GF
has just sat in my lounge (on my new sofa) and drank coffee - now there's a turn up
    civilised conversation and everything

He needed to borrow kid's birth certs to prove they existed as they are trying to get a council place. So I very kindly gave him his own (copy) birth certificate which I had somehow neglected to give him before (and which he hadn't asked for).

Was bursting to enquire why has NOT got funds for a deposit for a mortgage, having walked away with almost £30K but I didn't...

*goes to find arnica for rapped knuckles ;) and is hoping will be let in on the gossip;)*

The joy of words and email/internet I think. It is all in the intepretation and the perception of those who read it. We have lots of problems with this at work. The most well meaning message can be misinterpreted, especially if the receiver is feeling sensitive. Having read your posts for as long as I have I am confident you mean well so I interpret postively. It is an area that fascinates me at the moment, and one that is occupying a lot of my professional time.

I have run out of steam but I have to start again. We have a visitor tomorrow so the place needs to be reasonable, not because anyone else would mind or comment but because I would. DH made me cry earlier by wishing he could be back in time to help. He has worked minumum 14 hour days this week, his stupid back is failing very painfully and he is upset because he isn't here to help me. It is not like I can cope with people helping anyway - they do it all wrong :o.

    .
I know that I have in the past read and reread emails from friends trying to hear their voices saying the words because I couldn't quite work out the 'tone of voice' they had been written in (if that makes sense).
Gets far more difficult when you don't know the person in RL.
A jokey comment can so easily be misunderstood. (I did it once on the Daily thread and got jumped on from a great height - the OP was obviously' in the group' and could say what she liked - I wasn't and couldn't)

    Afternoon all,

I don't think i've managed anything off my lists today again. :o I doubt i will now either as my SB's Wedding is tomorrow and we won't be back until Sunday. It doesn't really matter though because the house will be a tip when i get back whether it was tidy before or not. My DSD's are looking after the boys and i doubt tidying up will cross their minds. This morning i got my outfit for tomorrow, then went to Nev's then lunch with both Sister's & DS2. After the school run the boys helped me and we

    Cleaned out rabbits & hamster
    Tidied & hoovered living room
    Put dry dishes away
    Washed up
    S & S Kitchen
    Sorted recycling
    S & S Bathroom
    Watered plants
    Wm x 1

Tea's cooking now then i need to sort out my stuff for tomorrow.
