    A little off topic.....Sorry.

I was in Macdonalds on Friday with my wife and child,My child had a Hamburger happy meal,i cannot remember the price though.

Mcd's are now running this Monopoly thing where with you meal you can pull off a little tab and you could win instantly or play the game by collecting them.

so we are sitting there talking and we get interupted by a young(Polish i think, but cannot be sure) girl with baby in pushchair asking if we played the game,if not could she have the tabs.I didnt say anything however the look that i gave her i think spoke volumes,we were sitting there eating when she interupted us.She then went around the other tables collected a few and left.

As for the happy meal,my daughter polished it off.

Gosh that seems very rude on your part  - where did you think you were eating - a 5 star restaurant? Some people don't like to see things go to waste and you may well have not even noticed the monopoly game as you were so 'into your conversation' so you may have just binned the packaging anyway without a second thought.

A bit of politeness doesn't go a miss, fair enough you may have felt she had disturbed your meal but Mcds is a casual place to eat anyway.... no need to be so hostile.

Any ideas what i should do its for the sake of £1 but its still £1 and i hate being done out of money.

Me and the boys down the Dog and Duck feel that you have been riipped off, not for a quid mate, but that you thought you were getting proper food, but ended up with Muppet Seed. If you pm me, me and the boys will go round there and get you dosh back.

Can someone tell me where there is any racism in Norant's post?

I expect to be accosted by beggars etc in the street (unfortuantely), but whilst having a meal either in McDonalds or in the poshest of posh restaurants, i don't expect to be approached by beggars whilst dining in.

Fair play to the guy, i'd have probably told her to !!!! off!

WRONG, you have naively fallen into the trap of thinking someone is racist just because as part of their description of the person they have described their nationality.

Obviously you should apologise immediately for calling someone a racist without good cause. When people wrongly throw accusations around like you just have it makes it harder for someone who is genuinely a victim of racism to be taken seriously.

Any Polish person did that to me, they'd get more than a funny look.

I hope the OP ends up with two obese children by the way. :D

"Shocked" at being asked for just a few pence more...
Were you really "shocked" or just shamelessly overexaggerating?

I think it is sometimes surprising to be asked for more than you expected...

I was in a Bar recently enjoying a quiet pint when a young Polish girl came up to me and pestered me for £20.

In order to get rid of her I gave in.

It was only when she started taking her clothes off and gyrating in front of me I remembered I was in a lap dancing club.

    ;)
