Hya SF...glad you will be getting another mentor...it's good to talk.

Have a nice quiet evening vegging out...I'm off to do the same, though I may well be knitting DS2's sock at the same time!

Been invigilating on-line exams all week...and it's been a bit hectic. This afternoon was the worst yet, with none of the students being able to access the internet and one unable to access any files!! This was an FS - ICT Level 1 exam, so a working computer and internet access was essential!!! I had IT guys in for about an hour sorting things...but everyone finished OK. I gave the poor lad who couldn't access his files for a while a sweet as he left...he really deserved it!! Who said invigilating was boring and cushy!!!!! :o

More on Friday...roll on tomorrow evening and the weekend!!! :T:T

Definitely - bring on the weekend! :)

    I don't like invigilating exams - it's always so booooring :p

Forgot to say...have fun @ Centre Parks...and keep on saving for the Maldives.

DH and I went there 24 ( really??) years ago and had a fantastic time. We had 10 days in Thailand (including 6-day bus tour ), two days in Singapore, followed by a week in the Maldives...wonderful!! We saw the New Year in on Bandos where we were staying...a marvellous night-time beach-BBQ party!!!
Best to research how much it will cost, so you have a ball-park figure to aim for. We would love to go again...but we went BC (Before Children)...and haven't had enough money since! :rotfl:

It'll cost quite a bit to go to the Maldives I think, but we're both set on the idea, it'll just take a lot of self control from both of us! Your new year's celebrations sound wonderful!

oooh wow! :) We've been looking at prices, and I don't know if we can afford it really, but I'm desperate to go!

Our holiday cost us about £5000 for the two of us back then (all food and trips included in Thailand and Maldives)...but then we were young and children-free and living in Holland. DH was a contractor for Phillips, so earning mega-bucks compared to his previous job a year before....those were the days....;)!!!

I bet it was fab though! :) I'm going to try so hard to not spend anything so we can go and have a holiday of a life time :)

It was great (if you ignore the gastroenteritis I picked up, which triggered IBS!:()...we had no problems saving the money though.
Before moving to Holland, we had been living on £15 a week for everything. I wasn't working but DH's new salary was 3 times his old one!!

So I was not used to spending money (now trying to get back to this :o)! We also got disturbance and relocation allowance, which covered the mortgage...as did the tenants we had in, so cleared all our debts in the UK before getting back there and had a healthy amount of savings!!! I wish it was so easy now.... :o

Off to bed now...I could do with a day of boring exams tomorrow ...here's hoping it doesn't get exciting at all!!

Take care, and enjoy your Friday x
