I try to remember to soak the porridge and sultanans overnight in my soya milk and water - I use Jumbo Oats. Then I only need to zap it for 3 mins in the microwave the next morning.
I have a sort of routine..make porridge, while getting washing out of the machine and sorting it out (put socks & underwear on a doofer). Once cooked I scrape it into a bowl and sprinkle a small amount of sugar on and leave it to cool while I get other things done, such as: hanging out the washing, feeding the birds and/or washing up everyone else's breakfast things. I may make my lunch if I need to. That way the porridge is cool enough to eat without burning my tongue (don't do really hot food!!).
Sometimes I have had frozen fruit in it...very scrummy...turns the porridge purpley-red though!!
Off to get bits done...hope you have fun at the FE college...I sort of work in one (well, it has both HE and FE courses)....complicated story!

It's not a NSD for me today afterall - I'm meeting some friends at $tarbucks later for a catch up which will be lovely
and worth the money - I'm feeling abit down as the course is coming to an end, so it'll cheer me up i'm hoping
I might pop to $ainsburys later to get some stuff - seen as I'm spending already.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

You asked me to advise on the weight/food thing, and I am sorry I forgot! But you seem to have had some excellent, and very sound advice.

:hello: hypno - thanks for popping by! It was going okay until today when I've been to $tarbucks and to K€C for tea  Baby steps though, and all that! I did go to sainsburys afterwards and got lots of nice healthy things, so onwards in that respectBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Hi sf
Rome wasn't built in a day.... and all that ..
Take it slowly, if you introduce changes more gradually you're more likely to succeed.
Hope you enjoyed meeting up with your friends - you sounded a bit down earlier so hope that's given you a lift.
Take care

I always look at things like that as treats and I try to limit the amount I have per week. I normally have to do something to get them. As long as you enjoyed them and had fun with your friends that is what counts - your not doing it every day! Be kind to yourself!0

Afternoon!
Had a good weekend - went to the BF's for a change instead of him coming here, but, as per usual, it went far too quickly!
Spent the morning in another further education college and I didn't sleep that well so I feel that this afternoon may not be that productiveI think I might just stick a DVD on and get a cuppa. We shall see
10th NSD of June though, so all in all, not doing too badly :jBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Had a wander into town and paid in some 5ps - added another £15 to the moving out fund
it's going up, slowly. Don't think I'll meet the target, but we'll see
my original aim was £500 and I've passed that, so I should be pleased!
