I thought i would elaborate, because of the timing of benefits being paid, our food budget which is a budgetted £85 pound a week has to be reduced because of timing of DD's, so some weeks we can have considerably less..

What i do is say to the kids we are going to challenge ourselves to spend the least amount we can on food for the week!!!
Its almost fun, i said almost!!! and after that week has past, we congratulate ourselves, i wish sometimes we would stick to it, as we could save a fortune!!!!

Wow, Keiss - that's a LOT of baking!
The meeting was fine last night :) went to the pub afterwards but i hadn't taken any money with me so had a diet coke bought for me which was nice :)
Still got 4 loaves to make, and a few quiches...but that'll be on Friday!!

Well done on getting a drink bought for you and maintaining your NSD!
    :T.

Plan on making today another NSD, despite phoning around to see if we can book a couple of nights in Orkney next month...chances are diminishing with every phone call!! I can see us looking out the tent...at least it will be cheaper, though no sure my back will like it!!! :o DS2 and DH could use it though!!

Well, had a uni day today so not done much. I do have work to do this evening though which I need to do, so need to find some motivation from somewhere!

Also means that today is NSD number 12 for June :)

Keiss - you always sound so busy!

    Hi sf..
Hope you managed to find your motivation this evening... and, if you did, was mine with it by any chance?

You're doing really well, by the way, good to see the moving out fund increasing bit by bit:T

spoon - I did the work in the end, it was slow going though!

Well, had a spendy weekend this weekend. Went home with lots of stuff from my room with me, and I managed to get a suit in Dotty P's in the sale, which was good and I also got a swimming costume to go on the school trip with :) so, stuff I needed. But ho hum, funds are depleting rapidly now and it's nerve wracking to think I'm not going to get any more til the end of Sept! I may have to get a summer job, we shall see.

Back at uni now for the last 5 days.... !

    I know, it's scary!

Had a tiring day today - we're spending 4 days in a special school for disabled young adults doing music therapy with them and it's good but really really tiring.

Also spent today as I only took a yogurt and a banana for lunch as that's what I normally have for lunch in school but found I was really hungry by lunch time! So bought a chicken salad sandwich from the $par for lunch too. That's my own fault and I know for tomorrow that I need to take more food.

So, no NSD for me now. Grr. It's that kind of little spending that's not doing me good - as it soon adds up!
