I was listing a book and although one was available over £100 there was a buyer waiting at £30 and I matched the price although my item remains unsold??
I have never seen the "buyer waiting" icon before and not sure how it works, I had thought the item is sold immediately as soon as the price is matched?
Had a "buyer waiting" video, listed it a week ago no sale although the icon was still present each time I checked. Last night I changed delivery to include U.S. and it sold within an hour to the U.S.! So the delivery options also play a part in getting the sale.I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Hi
Am a real thickie when it comes to books.
I sold 2 books on amazon about 2 yrs ago and got 1 neutral f/b  stating nice book but wrong edition, i only gave the info that was available from the book( had they contacted me i would have refunded)
My OH gave me a load of books to put on ebay (he has 1000's of books but is very loathe to part with them but we need the room!)
I always do a quick search on ebay to check prices, but one book i couldn't find i searched on amazon and was gob smacked to find it selling for 99.00also checked out bookfinder.com and was amazed to find book going for as much as 137.00
This is a thin paperback book
Anyway can someone please tell me is it just the ISBN number that identifies the book? i would hate to list a book and find it's the wrong one as stated in the beginning of my post.
Hope you can understand my waffle :rotfl:
Thanks in advance0 -

Hi mom,
So you're up for another go then!
If you use the ISBN that is pretty much all you need to identify the book but in odd cases the 2 aren't an exact match - example - I listed 4 Open University text books last week and the ISBN took me to the same book but with a different title for each one, luckily there was a 'see inside' option so I checked the table of contents and it was all the same so I pointed out the differences and listed, other sellers had had the same anomaly too
This is a roundabout way of saying the ISBN is nearly 100% all you need to know but with such an expensive book double check by running a search by the title and author and see if the whole lot all marries up together, good luck with it!0 -

The Force is with us all, you just have to believe that the power of the whinge on the thread is as strong as ever - I'm not sure if it works if it's just a mutter under your breath, I think it has to be a public whinge though!:rotfl::rotfl: :j:j0 -
Hi Guys,
Just had a very nice email from the guy I sold a £75 book too, a couple of days ago.
He thanked me for pointing out my mistake in the listing before sending, and said that my feedback was the reason he was buying from me and not that I had listed the book as a 1st Edition.
I am chuffed.
Thanks for all the nice things you guys have said on here for this problem.

I going to be selling over 100 items possibly over 200 and I'm wondering if I should sign for the Pro-Merchant subscription as it does seem to be a timesaver?
ThanksWaddle you do eh?0 -
Anyone having problems with Amazon site today. Have a weird one, had 2 "the sale of your item has ended" mails last night, both apparently sold at exactly same time (down to the last second 21:20:06!). However have not had any SDN emails. There is no money showing on my account for them and there is no record of the sales anywhere on the account, although they are showing up as closed listings. Has happened before with the odd SDN coming a couple of hours after initial mail, but never this long and not 2 items.I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.
