The iPad or the grimy fingers? (Or both?)
Not that there has been anything (at least in this thread) previously to suggest that the OP even has a sister.
So, how much money are you betting on this? And with whom? Do you have inside knowledge?
And, while we're about it, what are you backing in the Grand National?
Is the warm weather getting to you? Relax.
He has already said in another topic that his sister has one.0 -

I thought this site was moneysavingexpert.com. Why a buy a hideously expensive device that you don't understand what to it for? I sense bragging rights.
Its not mine, its my sisters and she lives in LA and is over on a holiday, she love it.
there's been a lot of discussion on the imaxipad by people speculating about it i have used it for about 4 hours now and was putting some actual hands on experience into the mix for discussion about the new tech0 -

Wouldn't a real laptop do those things better than your Lenovo?
The border that stops you from accidentally touching the screen while you're holding it you mean?
the problem with normal laptops is that there huge and very heavy and you have charge them pretty much constantly, the lenovo is left in hibernate so its 4 seconds to turn on, its as light and as small as the ipad and we really do walk about the house with it taking it from room to room. SWMBO has it on the kitchen table in the morning and uses it as a free newspaper, i have it in the front room at night and surf whilst shes watching emmerdale ....
Its also great for work since its easy to carry about and the battery lasts all day and it will do an awefull lot more than the imaxipad
I realise the borders are for hanging on to, but i still believe if they reduced the size by a 50mm both ways, halved the thickness (its very thick) and halved the weight it would do what they have set out to achieve 100 times better. I would actually get one then. At the moment is bigger and heavier than decent netbook (especially in its case) and does a lot less.0 -
you see i could see me using something like the ipad
for at home general browsing, depending on the text input (ive never used an iphone)
i find using my HTC on wifi to frustrating and the laptop too cumbersome plus theres the battery issue as said
for general PC work i would use the desktop in general
however im too tight to buy an ipad

i baulk at the price of the iphone
my OH wants one but i cant push myself to pay for it
im sure its good but i can get an HTC or the like running android with a good quidco payout
vs paying out for the iphone,i know apple controls the pricing but if people didnt pay it then it would drop0
