i dont get the poiunt about once? does the company say you get 2 attempts?
also it is free delivery, you can get the flowers redelivered free so again i dont see that point?
what exactly would you be asking a legal body to do?
of course you can lodge a complaint regarding the late delivery however you have had the flowers delivered as per your order
your only issue is the time frame
so they seem to have met their T&C's
In MY understanding of my mother tongue, COLLECTING is NOT the same as DELIVERING.:eek:0 -
flossy_splodge wrote: »Actually no they didn't as the card left by Royal Mail said as they had tried ONCE they now needed to be collected.
In MY understanding of my mother tongue, COLLECTING is NOT the same as DELIVERING.
i see the problem now
you have trouble with words presented in text form
do i need to use caps for you to understand as it seems you think i do?
YOU can get them REDELIVERED,using the pretty RED CARD ,you read the card on how to organise a REDELIVERY
that is not the same as COLLECTINGi dont get the poiunt about once? does the company say you get 2 attempts?
also it is free delivery, you can get the flowers redelivered free so again i dont
now go back and READ the T&C's of the SITE you ordered from
so in short
they use royal mail, its no secret as its in the site info
they dont guarantee delivery dates,as it says in the site info
you can get the flowers redelivered for free, but you cant comprehend this
for some reason you feel RM should make multiple delivery attempts every day for you
now i cant comment on your mothers tongue0 -
Wow that last post was really rude and condescending.
Maybe seeing as you are an ex postperson you know more about how Royal Mail delivers things and see how it works easier then the op does?
Maybe a helpful explanation that you are able to have the flowers redelivered if you call the sorting office number left on the card would have been greatfully recieved, but you didnt.
I think your reply was very unnecessary, as far I can see they have not been rude about you or Royal Mail, just the flower company.
OP I hope you get somewhere with this company soon.
Good luck

I am so upset, as my DD who has just landed her very first real job in her field having gained her PhD just 2 months ago then had to trog down to the nearest depot to collect HER OWN flowers!
It just doesn't cut it.
Does anyone know if I can take them to some legal body as it says clearly on their web site FREE DELIVERY.
If you have to go and get them then it is hardly free delivery is it?
I cannot tell you how upset and bitterly disappointed I am.
Sending flowers is normally far outside my budget but I am so proud of my DD's achievement that I splashed out and for what.?
This is beyond lousy service.
How do you mean, they tried to deliver ONCE?
It's not the delivery person's fault that nobody was at home.
How many times do you think they should have tried?
If a parcel comes here for me and I'm not at home, it goes to the sorting office where I can pick it up, or arrange a redelivery.
I dont understand why you are complaining about the 'free delivery' either.
They tried to deliver, for free.
Nobody was at home.
Therefore, they have delivered for free, just nobody was in to take the flowers.
Surely you can't expect delivery people to keep trying to see when someone is at home?!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

when someone doesnt take the time to read my reply and then SHOUTS in reply then they get the tone of my reply adjusted accordingly0 -

I didn't think to check on here before ordering, was so excited to get the news I just did a quick search on Google and went ahead.:o
Shan't do that again in a hurry!0 -

No, they have attempted to deliver. To actually deliver, the job needs to be completed.

lol @ until its succesfully delivered
and what companies have you used that do that?
so you would rather your perishable items just live in a van for days?
yes the job needs completed,so you arrange a delivery date when someones home
you really do make it hard,if it wasnt for the fact you obviously arent i would think you were a kid who had never had something delivered0 -

You are joking aren't you?
That could be 100 times before they are handed over to the receipient!
Would you have expected them to knock every half hour, hour, 4 hours, twice a day, once a day, 3 times a week, once a week, once a month and so on until your daughter had her flowers??
What if the recipient is on holiday, or in hospital, or is out from 7am - 9pm every day at work?
Delivery, is taking an item to your home. It was free delivery as the company do not charge for taking the item to your home.
Again, not their fault if nobody is at home and they aren't mindreaders.Yup, that's exactly what I expect. Normal flower delivery companies do.
You should have used one of those companies then.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0
