if youre lucky and get one with money who's nice too then that is great and lucky you but if you get one who appears to have it all but the debts and sleepless nights to go with it then forget it!! plus if he's flash and got it all (or even still paying for it all!!) he may treat you like poo!! so its personal choice do you want to be treated like poo behind closed doors but be wined and dined and playact like a trophy on his arm in the front path or do you want an easy life like me where you only have whats paid for no debts/loans apart from a mortgage which can be paid on one wage for if anything happens round the corner so no sleepless nights! health and happiness is more important i'm just hoping to win the lottery then i can have a taste of the high life but its all paid for!!:D

On a side not, Re Across' post.
I do find that a bit worrying that I have worked all my time to ensure I have a bank balance in the black and I do worry that if I ever do fall in love with someone that she will have loads of debts and we shall have to battle debt. Maybe that is a silly thing to consern me but it still does.

yes i see what youre saying studentphil but you'll probably find (hopefully!!!!) you'll fall in love with someone like yourself that is why i am not married to the flashy car audi man i would not be compatable with a silly spender who shows off it would drive me nuts i hate seeing money wasting(especially if its not paid for and its all a poppyshow!!!) i am very careful and dont just live for today so i married someone who has the same view of life as myself because otherwise there'd be murder in my frontpath!!!!!!!!!!:D

Across, I am pleased it is not a daft thought to have. I would find it is big worry to marry someone who had 1000's of debt. I would only worry because I know how debt can hold your life back.

I hope there is a woman somewhere in this world who might find living in a caravan on a moor in a sustainable community for a year fun. (I plan to do that after uni for a year).

Yeah, women prefer men with money, just like men prefer women with good looks and youth.

I have never been attractive and am fast getting old. At least you have a small chance of one day being wealthy.

I'm not bitter. :) I'm just tired of men whinging about how girls are only interested in men who have money.

I do just wonder if when you are young and at uni if as most women are young and still into looks that is why they go for flash guys, hopefully they grow out of that.

I hope you are right that some women do not value money in a guy.
That is until you get engaged and she wants/needs a pricey engagment ring.
