What's so good about these candles? I love candles but i've always thought yankee candles look a bit cheap and i don't really like the the glass jar things they come in. However if they are really good i might reconsider lol!

The fragrances are truly delicious, and they come in a huge array of different scents :)
  • Any good ones for burning after cooking with nasty amounts of garlic? lol

Will try these at the weekend as none of my current candles are masking it, kitchen has big skylight and not a window, so it is a nightmare after garlic!

    I hear ya! :rotfl:

But seriously, how much are they?! Are they any cheaper in B&Q?

The beauty of Yankees is that they come in all shapes and sizes - I usually buy mine in tealight form so I can dot them round the house - they come in a pack of 12 for around £4ish and each burns for roughly 4hrs.

    Drift Away is heavenly........ :A

As others have said before they come in all shapes & sizes, lots of lovely scents that dont start smelling waxy after one use like other cheaper candles do. The wick lasts a long time & the smells are strong too. I've found with cheaper candles that no matter the size the wick doesnt last long and then you are left with a load of wax that you cant light.

Home Store always have a range of the large Yankee Candle jars for £8.99. I love them but am quite disappointed that you get left with a good gloop of wax in the jar that won't burn.
Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!

I scoop out the wax that is left at the bottom of the jar and use it in my tart burner.
