You never mentioned other problems before

    Your probably infected then ~

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds

    reboot

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD THIS VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/2894/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

I've just been playing about with DVD Flick suggested above and its a fantastic program, far better than anything Windows has to offer.

Maybe give it another shot using the files you converted to avi, although I loaded in multiple files including mpgs. Just click "add title" and select the videos you wish to use.

It creates a DVD folder ready to burn to disk with any suitable program, I use Ashampoos Burning Studio, the free version. Its fast and has never let me down.

DVD Flick also has a burner(ImgBurn), just remember to tick the the option before beginning the conversion. Check the guide.

    Hi Donnie,

I do realise that, but my advice was given bearing in mind that Ayeshasi seemed to be having with the burning part of the program.

And in any case my personal preference, would be to create the file and use a separate burning program.

I was just trying to help in the best way I could.

Ayeshasi not sure which burning prog u using here but somewhere in the settings for burning most of them allow you to set the burning speed, i would suggest setting it down to the slowest speed to allow a good burn as some of these progs muck up when burning speed is set to go as fast as they can go. also some progs when running the verify say they are no good but when you chuck in the disc into the dvd player will work actually i would suggest trying it before binning it just as a couple of thoughts.
