Hi JD, yes TM is really expensive. But what I would suggest is choose a calming word and repeat it to yourself (silently) for 20 minutes and see how quiet your mind becomes. It probably has a similar effect but without the price tag!
Alex I loved your post! I also love the outdoors and o/h and I walked the 'west highland way' last year and loved it! There's just something about being out in the open that does wonders for you.

The West Highland way was one of my first long distance walks - absolutely beautiful!!
I'm definitely going back up to Scotland at some point to do some more walking!0 -
Isn't it amazing! We walked it in September, the best time coz of the midgies!!
I loved every minute of it, especially walking through Glencoe...

JD, it was. We met so many lovely people from all walks of life. We met a lady who was walking on her own, she was going through a nasty divorce and just had to get away to clear her head.
Others may turn to alcohol, food, drugs etc........
We have our meditation, yoga, MSE etc....... :j :j :j

i agree, i think that improving quality of life and taking a more spiritual approach is the right way to go for me. i would love to do one of those walks...but now isnt the right time as i have four young children to take care of, but travel etc is one of my long term goals as there are many places i want to see.November NSD's - 70
