Got choir later and then will catch up on here when I get home.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

How's everyone? I am tired - had a long and not very productive day in work! OH is in a strange mood - he was a real s*** last night and is now upstairs painting the doors!!! hardly spoken a word! I don't want to say anything cos I am hormonal so really don't want to start a fight!!!
DD1 and DD2 are off to a posh fashion show tonight! DD1 announced last night that the prom dress she wants is £250:eek:
She said 'Don't worry my dad will pay for it' - I suggested she should pay some of it herself as she has a job - her response was 'why should I?'
I have obviously failed miserably in instilling a sense of frugality into my kids!!!
£250 for a dress for one night! its not even her wedding! :rotfl:0 -
Gotcha Sammy, I had cleaners when I worked and every week I'd say, oh I will give them their notice and just do it myself!
hmm, well, yes I suppose I didn't realise quite how much difference those few hours made... <looks at cobwebs> 0 -

Yes I often think I will just do it myself. but they come on Friday morning, I go out for a couple of hours, or sit in my office and work and its done and no dust! I have wooden floors and the dust gets everywhere....

Well as I expected my daughter has agreed to pay her for the three hours - she is too nice!
She didn't want the hassle, which I can understand but I still feel it wasn't worth paying that much for.
I have looked on eBay and I can get the brush cheap on there, but I will still be out of pocket no matter what I pay.
Lesson learnt - won't be so lazy next year and will do it myself!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

I keep meaning to get a cleaner, but something always gets in the way (like having to get rid of the old sofa, then storing a load of sisters stuff). I'm really sorry they were so carp Tenmah.
I doubt I'll ever be engaged, and I'll definitely never be married, I don't believe in it. And I'd have to hold a gun to a mans head to get him to want to spend more than 5 minutes with me!
Judi, I think my sister's dresses for her 18th and proms cost about £150, and that was 5-7 years ago.
Hmmm, I think I might be a bit too MSE... dad wants to learn Russian so I sent him a link to the textbooks I used at uni, but I've asked him to send me the money so I can get points on my loyalty card, and quidco. I feel a bit mean profiting from him, but then it's better for me to get the benefit than no-one, right?!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
