3 or 4 quotes per poem is a good thing isn't it? Considering I have three to work with

It's a while since I've written an essay but sounds OK to me.

Grrr second spring clean attempt was as carp as the first. I have emailed the owner and told her we are not happy.

She has come back and said she will just charge us for three hours instead of the five she will have to pay for.

What do you think - is that a fair compromise?

Only you can answer that really Tenmah, but if you are not a happy customer then I would refuse to pay unless it is to your standard. Let's be honest we would expect "expert" cleaners to do a better job than we could ourselves.

That is my feeling exactly. I hate housework, but I do usually do a better job than they have done.

It is difficult to know what to do really!

Right, I have emailed her again. She had put a list of things she expected to be done today and I let her know what was and wasn't done. About three quarters of it wasn't done!

I have said I don't want to pay for three hours work when all that happened was a half hearted attempt at what I normally do on my weekly clean and it was certainly not a spring clean.

I have also got to replace a brush that is missing from my hoover (from the first visit) and they cost in the region of £8.00 - so I am out of pocket already!

I don't normally stand up for myself and probably if I was paying, i would have agreed to it, because I am a walkover, but because Jade is paying, I don't think it is fair on her to pay for something we are not satisfied with.

Do not use BIG CLEAN LITTLE CLEAN of Fordham, Colchester - ever! Not that any of you are likely to because she is local to me, but just a warning really.

Trouble is I don't know what a fair ending will be to this saga - can anyone assist in coming up with a fair payment for both of us please?

This is her response regarding the missing brush:

I did speak to the ladies and they thought the hoover attachment was on the end of the hoover (but I am sure you must have looked there). It is frustrating but it must be there somewhere

 No it bl00dy well isn't - I have looked everywhere.

She isn't budging from the three hours payment, so no doubt we will agree to it in the end :o

    Oooh Elfen :D

BB - did you decide about the job application?

didn't apply. I felt that I was only motivated by the huge salary and that wasn't enough. I've not given similar jobs with lesser salaries a second thought, it wasn't right for me and it just re-inforced how little I want to go back into public relations.

BB - not a proposal...but I did say I'd like to be engaged for a bit before getting married anyway....don't want to marry til after uni

just don't let the engagement go on.........I was engaged for 11 years ppfft....probably best in hindsight that we didn't marry as the divorce would have cost more than the split......oh well, guess it will be the first and last time I wear an engagement ring!

back from first acupuncture appointment. Not sure how I feel really. She said I might feel relaxed and I feel very sleepy but that could just be because I'm tired. I doubly concentrated on driving back (only a couple of miles ) because she said it's common to feel spaced out immediately afterwards. Next session is after work Monday.
