We didn't do "engaged"....we just decided one day that we'd get married on the most inconvienient day for everyone to come, that way we'd have the quiet wedding we wanted......we picked the first day back at school/work after the new year, which that year was the 7th January.....we decided this the last week in November, booked the registery office and sent out the invites in the christmas cards (money saving or what!) Had about 45 people turn up at 2pm for the service, back to ours for homemade buffet and kicked them all out by 5.30pm :j

Tenmah - To be honest I'd hold my ground, you've not had the service you'd expect so why pay for it. Send them an email invoice, followed up by a copy in the post for the replacement part for your hoover and a letter that explains that you're not going to pay for such shoddy service.

    Glad you approve SRM. ;)

If you do continue getting pains, do get your gait analysed, or in fact, you can usually get a rough idea from how the heels on your shoes wear, or what your wet footprint looks like. I will see if I can find a link.

I got to the point that I could barely walk before I had mine analysed, but my new trainers sorted the problem instantly and I haven't had any problems since.

Edit - couldn't find the link I was looking for but if you stand a pair of shoes side by side, if the heels are wearing more on the inside edge, so that the shoes lean in slightly towards each other, then it could be that you over-pronate, and if they lean away from each other, because the wear is mostly on the outside edge, you possibly under-pronate. Either is correctable with the right trainers.

    I over-pronate and wear these:

Link is here - they're only £40, which isn't bad at all:

Spring Clean part 2 happening right now. Feel very awkward sitting here whilst she is working (only one lady been sent so still don't think it is going to be much of a spring clean really!!)

How long was the woman actually there for Tenmah.....

edit to add: I would suggest the woman actually comes round and inspects the handiwork...if you have paid for a spring clean I would expect a spring clean. On my spring clean I paid for 8 hours. I got two people for 4 hours and they were super.

I do moan about my cleaners sometimes, I sometimes think I wouldn't notice if they hadn't been, but after two weeks of having no cleaners I have noticed big style all the dust! I sound very grand having cleaners don't I....I'm not....
