    evening

been to barry with mum for reflexology, then popped into cardiff shopping, managed to get 2 pairs of tracksuit bottoms for nathan £2 each, and a fleece lined wollen jacket for him reduced to £4 (putting the jacket and a pair of tracksuit bottoms away for his birthday)

still have a leaky shower but hopefully the bathroom will be finished tomorrow

*goes too look at kitty cam*

Forgot to say, I got a load of seeds and seed trays and things this afternoon. I just need some compost and then I'll have a go at setting them off, and hopefully I'll have some veg through summer. Hopefully...

I'd have a pyromaniac to pile all the paper in a big pile on the desk and drop a match on it!

Judi...when my first DD had her prom she got her dress from hong kong off ebay...v cheap...her friend did her hair but she still had the limo and the nails...it does seem to be the norm...

DD2 had the same but she had to pay for everything herself...dress was £150 but went straight back on to ebay afterwards....

They both look back now and can't believe how much money they wasted but that is the benefit of hindsight..

Is this the norm these days? whet happened to signing your shirt hand having a party at someones house? (god I sound old!!!)

Unfortunately I think it is the norm - but good on you for trying to instill some element of the real world into her head. Your '£250 for a dress' made me go
