jnm21 - thanx. That is something I can actually ask orange if I can do. bassman - the phone sells for £500 retail, which more than covers my contract for 12 months, as well as the usual cash-back offers, puts me in profit on my phone for once.

With regards to the non-usage report issue above, I recieved the phone from MO today. On the back of the dispatch letter are the terms and conditions. These are not exactly the same as those on their website and do not include point 17.3, which states that you must use the provided sim and phone etc. I can't see anything in it about a non-usage report, only that you must not disconnect before the 12 months.
I will assume the paper version of the terms and conditions in my hand hold more weight than the website.
    Ebay, here I go!

With regards to the insurance, I have had my current phone insured (exention of the 3 months free from the start). I think insurance is related to the handset and nothing to do with the contract, so I should be able to continue with it for my current phone no trouble. Am I wrong? I deliberately didn't sign up for the 3 months free on the new phone.

One more thing... It says that it is sent with a transit bar, which I have to phone to have lifted. This doesn't cause any problems for selling it does it?

    Thanks

A quote from Onestopphoneshop on "Transit Bar".........

"If you have just received your new Orange phone, you will notice that you are unable to make any outgoing calls. As a security measure, all Orange phones have a call bar placed on them whilst in transit. To remove the transit bar you will need to contact Orange Customer Services on 07973 100150 and quote your mobile number which can be found on the side of your box. Please note that only the account holder can remove the transit bar and you will be required to answer some security questions"......

So it looks as though it will have no effect on selling the phone, providing of course you get it lifted prior to selling.
