I didnt tell you all about DS2's audition did I!

He auditioned to be a drummer in a local band and he got in! He is only 14 though so I will be chaperoning every gig of course:o
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

What do roadies do exactly? Are they allowed to drink Merlot?

Yay that's brilliant! I know a lot of local covers bands and parents go if the players are under about 25 so I'm sure you'll be fine. Is it covers or original material?

What kind of electric kit does he have? Sister wants to look at buying one in a few months but it's got to be a particular kind, no idea what kind though!

Has anyone else noticed how bizarre fashions are now? Last night I saw a girl, we couldn't work out if she had white stockings over green tights, or green skin tight shorts over white tights. Either way we agreed that she must be lucky if she hasn't got cystitis!

I don't know about merlot, but judging by the (many) roadies I know drinking something is obligatory! JD is probably more roadyish than wine though. Groupie's probably a better idea though, then you don't have to do the heavy lifting (and it doesn't necessarily mean what it used to).

It'll be worth it in the end Claire.....just might take a bit to get there. I'm trying to get tiles off (Stage 1) and that is hard enough.

Not doing it today though. Just had anaesthetic put in my eyes and my pupils look HUGE. Constantly wanting to wear sunglasses. They've been looking at my eyes for laser eye surgery. On top of a trip to the chiropractor, its been quite an 'uncomfortable' day so I'm going to put my trainers and my sunglasses on and walk to Sainsbury's for some wine.

Isn't this how Bono lives his life? (without the walking!)

    I had laser eye surgery.....

I had a bad stomach on and off for about two weeks....but my DD1 and DD3 had it and they were sick (I wasn't sick just had the dodgy tummy) and it seemed to go quicker for them....:o
