I've just updated my DMP spreadsheet. I have 12 creditors, one due to finish in August. Four have notched down into lower thousand this month, that's a good feeling! Does anyone else find it helpful to monitor milestones?

    Hope everyone is well.

I monitor milestones. I have the last of my payday oiks paid in February so that will be 3 debts gone and I also look at which point i will hit £15k, £10k etc.

If I look at the final end date it seems so far away but the £15k is a little closer so thats what I concentrate on.

    Keeps me sane

    Hi all

I'm still here. Got my fingers crossed for you Gibbs xx.

Not looking forward to the next couple of weeks. I was 1 day down in my weekly pay this week because I hadn't enough holiday time to take the stat day here in the BBC for New Year. I was also sick on Thursday and Friday last week (completely unavoidable - trust me when I say death's door is the only excuse for me not being in work!!!!) so I will be 2 days pay short next week because temping doesn't pay sick days. Grrrrrr. Tough 2 weeks. Just hope I can make it through. Things are tight enough as it is without this.

Why is it that everytime you think you're getting ahead and sorting things out - some sort of disaster happens and suddenly you're on the breadline again!!!!

  • No one has opted for the voluntary redundancy, so now we wait while they decide. End of the month.

Good luck with finding some spare money until the end of the month.

  • Fingers crossed Gibbs.

Mikon, left you a message on the other board but essentially for the benefit of the others my DMP was reduced by 4% at the advice of CCCS and it kicked off some madness. One Preditor charged £170 interest in one month. All now sorted refunded and back on track. Decided to see if there was a quick resolution before I posted it as there were lots of newbies on the other board and wanted to reassure rather than scare at that point! Good luck wiht your review.

Glad you enjoyed the board Teds, very grateful for your direction. I picked up some massive bargains (for presents or things I'd need anyway) so well pleased. Back to Aldi next week, not been for a while so don't forget to keep the tips coming in.

    Hello to all.

    Afternoon all,

I know I know I know it has been soooo long, I am a very very bad paddler!

Hope you are all doing well, I am just plodding on to be quite honest I have been just ignoring the who whole dmp thing since my payments started, but I really must get on top of it all, most creditors have agreed 0% and stopped charges but there are a few still charging, to be honest I receive very few statements now and phone call are basicly 0.

I told myself I would get more on the ball after xmas and get the rest sorted, so here I am, hard to find the time to do it all though as I am working all the time.

o by the way can anyone advise me on this, I have joined the school pta and it has been mentioned about adding my name to the bank ac so I can countersign cheques, Im a bit worried as the account is in my old bank who I owe money too would it be ok do you think or not?

must go school pickup time again will keep in touch.......promise.

O and a happy new year to you all for 2011.x

    Hi everyone

Came home to a letter from NEXT stating that my account will be transferred to a DCA mid February. I will be contacted by the company instructed to recover the balance on your account.

It then states the implication of a DCA getting involved are:

A Collector may call at your home
County Court proceedings may be taken against you which will involve charges being added to your debt.
A Default will be registered against your name preventing you from getting credit for years.

It then goes on to say you can avoid the above by calling us with your credit card details to make the required payment

    Question

Has anyone else dealt with NEXT and been transferred to a DCA and which company is it and what experiences did you have.

It has put me on a downward spiral. They have added charges as well scumbags.

    Any suggestions??????

Hi mikon, good to see you. A lot of my debts have gone to a DCA I just thought that was common practice and the sooner the better as they tend to automatically agree to your dmp.......am I wrong should I be panicing?

    Mikon

I have had one of my Payday loans transfered toa DCA, Mackenzie Hall (who have a reputation to say the least) and my debt was about £250ish. I just sent them a stern letter setting out my terms of repayment, CCCS number, various bits of Debt Collection guidance, the usual stuff, sent it by email and letter and they have been fine. They just accepted it.

CCCS is quite a powerful tool where these people are concerned cos the last thing they want is a complaint to the OFT.

try not to worry, and when the contact you just quote CCCS.

Going to bed now. Absolutely fed up. Who said 2011 would be a better year. I really regret getting into this hole. I cannot see any light at the end of the tunnel. I am desperate for a bit of good luck but that seems to elude me. I really feel at this point like packing up and doing a runner and starting a fresh else where.

Thanks for all the replies I am just finding it difficult to see any positives at the moment.

I feel beaten at the moment.
