I got rid of Norton on both my computers and installed the following:

    AVG
    Sygate
    Spybot
    Ad-aware
and also CCleaner for good measure, which I run every couple of days.

Works a treat, and it's all FREE!

    :)

anyone know if any of these do deals for multi-license purchases? I know Grisoft do but many others don't seem to which on a small home network is a bit of a pain
Ever stop to think and forget to start again?

i used to use Avast with out any problems for free....paired with Zone Alarms firewall which is THE best and is also free in no frills mode
    for years.

i got a good deal on kaspersky with my comp so i,m with that at the mo but i may go back to avast after my 12 months

avast is great because it updates every 4 hours if you are connected to the internet. My router has a firewall built in and also XP firewall does a good basic job in itself.

Avast can be renewed simply by re entering your email address and it sends you a new code.

Another advantage is the incredibly low system resources it takes up. Unlike Norton.
