Hope your husband is gonna be okay meanmarie.
Waiting for DS2 to wake from his nap as we are going to melt some easter eggs (they got 24 between them, far, far too many) and make chocolate crispy cakes topped with mini eggs which wont last long as OH is going to friends after work to watch match and I will be alone with the bag....Mum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Afternoon All
Tired-mum, yes North Weald operates Bank Holiday Mondays. Problem was it was freezing cold & we were looking at summer clothes! Would have been better if the weather was like today.
Lindy-Loo - Welcome
Meanmarie (((hugs))) for OH
Back from Lakeside, DS spent all his money in Gamebut DD held onto most of hers. Spent my £10 giftcard on coffee and had lunch. Boy was it busy there.
Anyway, weather is still beautiful but stuck in the office as waiting for loads of calls.x0 -
Thanks for the welcome - off to make crispy cakes and get the casseole ready for the oven, having to do carrots in the casserole and make carrot sticks for the boys as they only eat them raw! Then I have a date with my dyson and the upstairs of the house.
Have agreat afternoon everyone - boys awake so my time has ended on here till bed xMum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Afternoon everyone (((((hugs)))) for those in need of them.
A gorgeous afternoon here- bright sunshine, blustery wind- my rotary drier is whizzing around, much to the amusement of the garden tiger, who keeps eyeing up my jeans! When it gets too much for her, she hides under the clothes horse just outside the back door, which has a full load of work clothes on it right now.
Jobs done:
Ordered worming tablets for the GT -to be picked up tomorrow
Transferred some cash into my ISA
Booked a hotel for next weekend (for a trio of birthdays including mine)
Completed two loads of washing (now on the line)
Ironed two sets of curtains (ready for storage/charity)
Still to be done:
Sterilise jars for marmalade and make it (using tinned prepared oranges)
Attack fridge and sort out something for tea
Try to locate my mobile - I know it's here somewhere!
Find my wool dyeing supplies
Investigate the junk dumped in our open-plan Harry Potter Suite
Check my Ravelry account
Continue hunting on iTunes for interesting (and free) podcasts, etc.
Hope you can make the best of the day, sunny or not . xSurviving the ups and downs of life with DH

Afternoon everyone.
Busy morning with 4 kids today. Been out on scooters, in the garden playing with water, mud and sandManaged to plant some garlic and have potted on some sunflowers that I've germinated. Always wanted to grow some
Not much OS going on. Have put vac round, one load of washing now hanging outside. I think kids want to bake some biccies tomorrow so that can be my baking contribution this week :rotfl:
Tea tonight will be beef, mash and veg for me and the kids. H erm no idea - he can paddle his own canoe :rotfl:
Diva - Hugs to you. Sorry to hear you have another op for tomorrow. Fingers crossed that goes OK xx
NPM - Hugs to you. I hope things aren't as stressful but if they are then you'll find the patience and strength to get through it xxx
Donny-gal - you are always missed
Lindy-loo - welcome :j Hope you can stick around
Sorry I know I've missed loads of people but I have to start looking for a pressie for H - it's his birthday on Sunday and I haven't got him a thing - from me OR the kids  No idea what to get him and I am starting to panic a bit
Right better dash - DD is clinging to me again like a limpet. She's been really poorly with this cold and it's lingering around. Wish she'd shift it sooner rather than later.
Hugs to those that need them. Have a good afternoon OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
Hi all,
Very lttle OSiness going on with me today as I have been looking after my 6 yr old niece.DB picked her up a while ago and I'm shattered, not helped by the dog wanting a wee at 5.30 this morning.Couldnt get back to sleep then,so had a shower and got up.I am not an early morning personbut I did finish all the ironing.
Making turkey meatballs when I get off here,DS1 will be out for tea so thats one less to cater for.
Really enjoyed the theatre last night, not been for years so was a nice change.Tonight we will prob call on my other brother,as DH still has an architrave to put on for him,and its DBs birthday on Friday,so could take his pressie and kill 2 birds with one stone.
Diva- sorry to hear you've had complications, fingers crossed it all goes to plan tomorrow.Hugs
Thanks Sunnygirl:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Thanks SunnyGirl for the news of Diva! I've pm'd her and hope all goes well tomorrow.
NPM - Thinking of you, and hoping you find some useful ideas x
Welcome Lindy-Loo
Celyn - The icing looks lovely, but your poor hand! I hope the Ibuprofen helps.
((((HUGS))) to everyone who needs some atm.
I've put washing on the line for the first time this year - it's bedding, so it's nice to know it will smell lovely and fresh. There are a lot of Harlequin ladybirds around though, so must remember to check so I don't accidentally bring any indoors. I had forgotten that the hook on the clothesline prop was broken - I don't suppose you can buy just a replacement hook, so will probably have to buy a whole new prop, even though the rest of it is okay  We have an independent hardware shop near us though, so will go and ask them tomorrow. A sign outside the shop says "We think we sell everything!" Last year we were able to get a new handle for MIL's toilet flush - it's the old sort where you pull the chain, and the handle had come off and been accidentally flushed away:D - and even washers for our 30-odd-year-old "Supataps" on the kitchen sink.0
