Diva hope everything goes well (((hugs))) to you

essex girl hope you can get your lorry back asap- how iis the driver?

Hi Sistercass, he is a lot better, he has already driven his car and is adament he wants to come in & drive the lorry tonight. Its his livelyhood and as far as he is concerned he needs to do it asap. He will be in another area and we have made plans in case he can't do it afterall.

Once 9am comes we will phone the police see how the casualty is (doesn't look good) and find out if they have checked the cameras. Seems all the witnesses (there were a lot) have confirmed what the driver said I think its just a case now whether he fell or was pushed into the road.

I guess they will need to do a massive check on the lorry its also full of our clients goods which I need to try and get back today.

The regular police were very nice and helpful but the Traffice ones not so much so, guess with what they see on a regulgar basis you can understand that.

    Thanks for asking.x

    morning!

    2 days off now:j

this morning I'm taking Mum to pick her new car up and she's treating us to a 'posh' coffee in Costa.
Washing nearly ready to hang out - dry here so far!
    house cleaned and tidied.
Hope to do a bit more painting later and need to sort out the insurance for Thursday when I get my new car.
Not a clue whats for tea - something low fat and healthy needed after the excesses of the weekend!:D
Yesterday I managed to buy a lovely new knitted tunic-style top from Sainsbugs - half-price in the sale then with an additional 25% off:j its a long deep blue and is gorgeous - am wearing it with jeans, long-sleeved T-shirt and a long glass beaded necklace - not bad if I do say so myself;):D

Diva - not sure whats happening today but good luck whatever it is!

Essex-Girl - glad your driver is ok, hope the injured fellow soon gets better and that its all sorted out for you all.

    welcome to uolypool and Natty!

(((hugs))) to PP - any news yet on how she is?

hope you all have a great day, will pop back later x

    Morning All :hello:,

Sorry have not had a chance to catch up on the thread - very very busy weekend, where somehow, I don't seem to have achieved anything :o

Did read that MSD is in hospital this morning, so good luck hun, positive vibes coming your way xx
Essex-girl - haven't read through what happened, but it sounds horrific, your poor driver  hope everything gets sorted out ok.

Have just realised that DH has gone to work with my sandwich instead of his - don't think he'll be too impressed as mine was cheese and mango chutney, which he says is "gross" having never tried it...

Tea tonight is lamb chops, roast potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower. May do cauliflower cheese and freeze half as it needs using up.

Hope everyone is ok, have a lovely day whatever you're doing, hugs xx

    Good Morning All,

Coco had tripe for dinner last night. I nearly varminted everywhere. The smell is so overwhelming, don't know if I can do that again._pale__pale_

I have to feed my puppy dried food as I can't cope with the smell of the cold meat - you're not alone!

Morning all, the antibiotics have finally kicked in and I am on the mend, I am off work today though as kidneys still very bruised and am weak, but so glad to be 'coming out of the otherside'. Thank you for all my get well wishes, it's so nice to feel you have company :j

Can't do any housework really as kidney pain stops me but I am looking forward to registering as self-employed later, each step of my new business is so exciting!

Might treat myself to some new craft bits today, I think I'll have a browse on the net later. Love to all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!

    Morning All

Quickie for me today as I am minding DGS. DH has no work in today so he will be helping. The last week I will do this as I will be back at work next week.

Off to Mr T's this morning as we have run out of everything. I have eaten far too much rubbish this weekend and ended up awake in the night with heartburn. (Cheese on toast for supper:o) Anyway detox and only healthy foods for the next few days!

Tea last night was the leftover pork from Sunday with Jamie's tomato and chilli sauce over pasta. It was yummy:D

Anyway off to take DD to work. Things are going ok with her ex so maybe they won't be with us much longer, we will see.

Not so quick after all. (((Hugs)))) Diva hope it goes well.

    Have a great day J x

Morning all....(((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

The wind has dropped a bit, but has blown the greenhouse over again, its one of those plastic ones. I think we are going to have to find a more sheltered position for it.

It looks a bit black over Bills mothers, we are forecast rain abd it certainly looks like rain. I have a basket full of washing to do......typical......we now have a severe weather warning for rain........

No idea what I am going to be doing today, I have the sheets to irron from yesterday, trying to decide whether to light the fire, its a bit chilly. It was late yesterday until the fire finally got going, I think the wind was in the wrong direction, the fire was not pulling.

OH preparing to go out and look at the garden and the greenhouse. We have to go to the library this afternoon, our books are due back.

One of Oh's favourite suppers tonight - scotch pie, mash, beans and lots of onion gravy........
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    morning all,

Bright and beautiful here, got my bedding in the wm, will get that on the line.

Off to the dentist today, and the hygenist for a good clean, hopefully other than that we will need nothing doing.

Dinner tonight will be something with the leftover beef from sunday, will have a browse for inspiration in a while.

DD and friend will be off to town after the dentist, so I will give her room a good clean ready for the wall paper chap to come, I will be so glad once she is back in there.

Might nip to Ikea tomorrow, i need some new blinds and light fittings, so may have a trip out there.

    Diva, hope all goes ok

    Have good days all xx

Morning all, hope you are all well. Just ashort one form me as typing hurts :)

Essex-girl - I'm really sorry, hope you get it all sorted out soon :(
Diva - good luck for today

I have the week off! Well - apart from fielding e-mails with my collegues who seem not to understand the meaning of the term "annual leave".

Dinner was going to be cold chicken, but I made the mistake of letting OH carve it last night, so I've picked what remained off the carcass and will make pizza with spicy chicken instead.

    I iced this:

over the top and sides of all three tiers (6 inch, 9 inch, 12 inch, 4.5 inches high). I can't move my right hand any more :( I'm supposed to be making flowers this afternoon - and I don't have time to be ill, so it might be a case of eating ibuprofen and getting on with it. have a good day all, cel x

    Morning (just) all :)

Not been in for some time, but have done the occasional lurk :D I'm doing a sort of mini Spring clean today, getting to bits that seem to get overlooked during the usual weekly clean. Don't know that I'll do a 'big' Spring clean this year, been very good at keeping up the bits usually left for that.

As per a Monday, have the laundry going....do wish we were able to have a line out somewhere :( don't mind drying most things in the tumble dryer but miss hanging out my sheets. It's really lovely out, sooo sunny and not too chilly, if the wind would let up it might even be warm!

Need to get a move on and get back to it otherwise next time I look at the clock it will be dinnertime :rotfl: Next stop, oven cleaning! The excitement never ends here at The Lodge!

{{{Hugs}}} to all who are poorly in body or spirit.
