Afternoon all. We had quite a busy weekend and got lots done. OH started making some new aviary panels for the Big Move (not that we have anywhere to move yet, but it doesn’t hurt to be prepared!), whilst I made almost all of the cards for April – just one more to do for a friend on the 30th. Did loads of little bits and pieces that I’d been meaning to do for ages (like sorting out the L&L boxes – it doesn’t get much more exciting than that!). Sunday afternoon we headed up to the Arboretum for a walk which was lovely, but nearly ended in disaster when Puppy-Dog decided to try and tackle a cattle grid (his recall is usually really good. He picks the most inopportune moments to ignore us). Fortunately he took a few steps onto it and realised it wasn’t a good idea, so he just crouched down and waited for his daddy to rescue him. Poor OH had to carry 30 kilos of labrador! Thankfully no injuries, and now that we know it’s there we’ll put him on his lead before we reach it.
Another house viewing on Thursday, looks really nice from the outside but we shall see. It needs to be pretty much immaculate as it’s right at the top of our budget, so if it needs any work we’ll either have to find somewhere else or knock them down a bit. We’ve only just got out of debt so not keen to get back into it!
OS for today – HM fish pie for dinner, using up fish that’s been in the freezer too long, make final card for April birthdays, and finish off a mini-scrapbook for our friends in the states. Could do with cleaning the bathroom, but not my favourite job so we shall see! Puppy-dog is at daycare today so in theory I should be able to get lots done… We’ll see…

Afternoon all
I have the day off :j and I'm having a lazy onestill in my PJ's. I had a little lie in til half8, then finished my book in bed.
WM is on and the load from yesterday has dried so will need to put that away. Weather is ok-ish here, grey but no rain yet however it is forecasted.
I need to go food shopping today so will look on the boards for offers and then decide where to go. Back on the diet after Easter weekend away so will stock up on friendly food.
Then I think I'll either go for a walk if it's dry, or curl up with a book if it's raining.
Think I'll make stuffed tofu and mash with veg for tea, lunch will be something simple like cheese on crackers.
Have a good day all

I have a line full of washing out, black clouds scudding across the sky but still plenty of wind. Not quite as strong as yesterday, but strong enough.
Off to the library shortly and then into North Berwick for a look round.......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Afternoon all
Back to work today, busy busy day as tax year end/beginning.
Shepherds pie for tea with veg of some sort - I have plenty in as when we were away at the weekend in the caravan, we called at quite a few farm shops (I am quite addicted to them!!!):o Have made a further shepherds pie for the freezer, may take it away with us at the weekend, depends on what else I make during the week. I really must get back into meal planning but also need to use up some things from the freezer. It seems that as soon as I use something up, there is another meal to go back in, as I tend to batch cook and the lack of space doesn't seem to get any better! lol:rotfl:
Wm was put on this morning before I left for work and will be put on airers around the house - it is months now since I used my td, electricity bill has definately reflected this too!!!:D
Diva - thinking of you, hope all is going well
Charlie our little cocker spaniel puppy is doing slightly better at night now although he does still wake up very early but at least it is nearer 4.30 than 2.30 like it was last week. He has had his second injections and can go out in about 10 days, so hopefully when he gets more walks it will tire him out more;) I might get rid of some of the eye bags I seem to have developed lol
Hope you all have a good afternoon
x"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"Dieting ........... is no piece of cake!!!!:D

Gooooood afternoon!!!
How are we all after the Easter weekend?
I'm in the office all on my own today, so it was a little bit manic coming back in this morning and having to cope with the usual deluge first thing in the morning of requests that some colleagues are just too lazy to do themselves!
This weekend I have mainly been doing alot of this: :EasterBun
Good while it lasted, but not so great for the waistline :rotfl:
I've also done heaps of washing and yesterday managed to get a good few lines out to dry :j. I can now also see my dining table again, I finally got round to clearing all the clean washing from there and put some away. I even ironed!! (we're a kinda iron-as-you-go family in our house)
On Saturday we made HM pizzas for dinner, and the bases I made using the setting on my breadmaker - they were yummy!! DH went overboard as per usual on the toppings, I think he must have had a little bit of everything from the fridge on his :rotfl:tasted quite good though.
I'm trying to get the bedroom organised this week and have bid on something on ebay which will really help me out alot with that (I'm not saying too much about it so as not to jinx it!!). Unfortunately the auction doesn't end until the weekend, so please everybody keep your fingers crossed for me!
MSD Hope your operation goes well today
Ladyshopper DS is so cute wanting cuddles!! I really hope my DS is still the cuddly type at that age (he's only 20 months now!)
Uolypool welcome along, we're a nice bunch in here if I say so myself
Bitsy Couldn't agree more about the shopping bills, I've been noticing over the past few weeks it seems to be a couple of £ heavier
Jellybaby Hope the kidney infection clears and the antib's do there job quickly ((hugs))
Jackieglasgow I love the tales of Coco, they keep me amused in my own little world! Needless to say I had a little chuckle at the veg story
Gosh this turned out to be a long one - enjoy the rest of your day!

Hi everyone, this is my first time on any of the threads so if I make a mistake I apologise in advance!
Have been at the park today with my two boys, their nearly 3 and 5, its freezing and really windy but it was their traet for being good in Mr S. Had to go in and buy something so I could get my free 1000 nectar points from joining the online baby club, so bought a chicken casserole mix,(Mr T didnt deliver in on line shop) claimed points then used them to buy nappies so saved £5.58! Feeling pretty chuffed.Mum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Hello all,
Still having trouble with monitor so this will be short and sweet.
OH in hospital this am to see consultant, strong indications that liver fuunction is not as it should be, so is going to have a scan when appointment comes through, he also has to have fasting bloods done before he goes back to consultant in October, they have told hime to stop drinking altogether, not sure how that went down, as I don't comment on what he drinks....
Hello and welcome to newbies, get well soon to all who are not well, hope things improve for those of you who are in trouble of any kind.
Csarina...sorry to hear about your greenhouse, OH bought one of those plastic ones a couple of weeks ago and has put it in bigger greenhouse, the temperature is very high in there now, so maybe he should have bought 2 and forgotten about his expensive propogator, which brings things on too fast IMO...maybe I am just too lazy to get it all potted on quickly enough.
Lettuce and scallions ready to use in greenhouse, which is going to save at least a euro a week, so feeling that if the weather improves we may have a decent crop this year after all....lashing rain and very windy here today...is to improve to showers later on....wooopee!
Hugs to all,
Hoping to be back to normal soon when I can persuade myself to spend some money on new monitor!

Hi everyone
I'm back - was I missed - no - thought so. Had a great weekend in the 'van, could have been drier and warmer, but took warm clothes and got out walking. Had a great walk along the Trent at Burton upon Trent Sunday morning, and loads of other shorter walkers around the area near the Conkers National Forest centre. Shared the cooking with our friends, so I had done cottage pie for the first night, and she had done stew for the second. BBQ sausage, pork steak and gammon with new potatoes and veg for the third, and chicken stuffed with cheese done in the oven with new pots and salad for the last night. Cheated when we got home lastnight and had scampi and chips.
I have some gammon and sausage left over so it willbe something like a brunch with that for tea tonight.
Three loads of washing done, and looks like my quilt cover is nearly off the line, so better go, take care and (((HUGS))) where needed.
