Mambury you are amazing for still being there for her and not giving up. you must really wish that you didn't have to keep being the strong one. You sound so compassionate and I really wish you and your sister well in getting through this next part of the cycle. it must be so scary hun.

Even have you talked to DD and explained the reasons that GD may be trying to bite her. aside from the pain of it DD will probably find it upsetting that someone she adores is trying to do this to her. if she understands the development stuff behind it it might feel less hurtful to her. if you can say that it is not ok for GD to hurt her but that GD is not doing it because she doesn't like her it may help her out a bit as its probably confusing for DD.

Mambury there must be times you feel far from compassionate and like throwing in the towel. you would not be human otherwise!

oh yes.... many times! But as I am the only family she has nearby then I don't have a choice.

Thanks Jo... I am glad I 'met' you!!!
Oh, and Even, I think I would agree with jo on the biting front, they all do it (well both of mine did), and they grow out of it. It might help if once you have spoken and explained to DD about it if you ask her to tell GD that it hurts and she doesn't like it if she does it again. Little ones sometimes react differently to ther children telling them things rather than adults doing the telling....
