Mambury....all I can say is b***** men! they live on a different planet....apologies to all men on this forum, not all men...just the ones we know...:D:D
Its a really hard situation with your sister, you want to help them get better, but carnt do much to help, they have to want to accept the help, I have some expierience of drink problems, not me but someone close who doesnt drink at all now, but it was years of upsets before that decision was made, Its something that affects the whole family, not just the person with the problems and drink problems can lead to others loke drugs and mental health problems,
It must be very worrying for you sometimes,I have some experience of that with my DD1, she is going to Glasgow, monday to see the concert, I will have to try not to worry about her getting into trouble....but its easier said than done
Has bargain stroller mummy&p told me about out on its maiden voyage yesterday,GD loved it and I was amazed it was only £13 its great
Oh! any help on this problem....GD who is 15mnth is biting ,nipping and pulling my DDs hair ,she is 10, usually when she is fustrated and in the car yesterday was hell with unruly toddler and complaining tweenager....help

Morning all
not read last few pages yet but looking for quick answer. I have 50+ piggins to sell. Do I spend all day listing for 99p on eBay auctions or do I bung em in car and head to car boot and try my luck there first?
If latter car boot is a tenner, but saves listing time, have to decide asap.Would like to: Retire at 54. 19yrs .Clear mortgage by 50. 16yrs. dont piggin know cagne...if you dont sell many at boot sale you will make a loss..they are popular though if you are selling them cheap they should do well and ebay is often flooded with similar products and would take time to sell.....I think if weathers decent and boot sale busy i would try it...which boot sale do you do , blaydon0 -

are they going for good money on ebay? If they are then I would go down that route, yes listing time involved but at home in the warm with a loo and kettle nearby!!!
Or can you advertise them in the local paper?? Our's is free to list up to £200 so might be worth a go...sealed pot challange #572!Garden fund - £0!!:D£0/£10k0 -
Hi everyone. I lost 1lb again this week so at least going in right direction again! Evenstar I don't know if this article would help. she has had a lot happening in her liferight now and not got verbal skills for expressing it.
I guess your environment is a safety net for her and her acting out may be her difficult feelings playing themselves out in a safe environment. If you can tell that something may be frustrating for her then maybe try and have a variety of things that might entertain her.
also hairpulling and nipping etc is often the only way they can think of at the time to try and engage another person in play.
Also if kids are used to living in drama they can get used too and feel a need for those high intensity emotions so causing shock and screaming etc can give that outburst of drama. would try to stay calm and kind. you can be sympathetic to DD and maybe give GD a running commentary on what has happened. like wow GD you must be feeling really frustrated I wonder what we can do to help with that. when you bite DD I feel upset cos I love her and need her to be safe so lets see if we can find something else to do instead.
I know it sounds ridiculous to talk to such a young child that way but they don't respond to your words but the tone and vibe behind them so if you can stay calm and kind they feel safe even while you let them know that its not a great way to handle things. It is an age/ lack of ability to express things stage and will pass.

Mambury that sounds really tough - I hope she finds her way through it and that you have people round you who can support you too.
