it did indeed jo! Really happy to hear you are learning so much at your new job. To me learning is so important and half the challenge of anything we do in life. I mean seriously, what is the point of it all if we cant grow from and with knowledge?

Its great to learn so much about something that, for me has always gone on in the background.
also that at each point I have viewed the next stage with some anxiety. eg at first I just cleared and set tables and took out trays of drinks. I could see other staff members operating coffee macines etc that looked complex and I was really reluctant to do it. but afte 2 days I was taken on one side and told thats what I was doing that day. It was fine in fact I really enjoyed it. but clearing away pots into the busy kitchen area I could see lots of different orders put up in different areas and one person taking all the right things to the right tables at the right time as well as completing the soup orders at the right time. eek - I really didn't like the idea of it. again I was told a while later that it was turn to do that. again all fine.
Also I have learnt a lot about the relaxation of purely being in the moment in a practical way. when it is busy and you have to just concentrate on completing orders it is very absorbing. there is no time to analyse and worry about the future or the past it is pure focus. sometimes I have come back from there and the pain in my shoulder, arm and neck has almost completely gone. I realise now just how much those areas are holding tension that I find difficult to physically release but now know that it is possible.
I have also learnt a lot about not avoiding the mundane tasks. at the cafe there is no choice and I just plough through and it never feels that bad and sometimes is actually quite therapeutic.
wonder if I can translate this into my domestic habits!!

funny to think that I was worried about a coffee machine after the huge complexities of radiography equipment but thats the way it goes.lol

It really is amazing Jo when we discover things that we not thought possible or just simply tried something new or pushed ourselves that bit much further. Life is for experiencing and that is in ever aspect of our lives whether it be work, home, play, relationships etc. It is also amazing on how much we find out about ourselves or how much things that we learn or do at work or home translate quite effectively from one front to another front and are so interchangeable in our lives. LOL, can you tell I have been in thinking mode today?

ooh I always have weird feelings around new threads. think I like the security of lots of pages behind us and feel a bit adrift when we start a new one. but it does seem to be nearly that time again.

Munchki definitely in the time I have known you really haven't had the time or space to process thoughts except pure survival ones. no wonder that you now feel the need to do that. maybe now you are ready for that when you wouldn't have been before. maybe survival has kept you busy until you were ready for this next bit. not saying I'm glad you went through it - you know.
