NLID. Do you have friends with slightly older children. round here we all pass our clothes around each other. we know where they've come from so that might solve part of OHs concerns. my DD loves getting dresses from some of the older girls that she really looks up to. and I don't mind if they get mucky or painty etc
Then if there are specific things we need that we don't have we buy new. and pass on when grown out of. again only thing is shoes - which we buy new and leather except for beach shoes etc that aren't worn frequently.

Right - That £13 saving turned into a £15 Saving lol!
I was going to move Broadband Providers, but figured I will give BT Broadband another go!
Especially considering they have taken my broadband, looked at my usage and recommended I drop down a package level to the Option 2 limit saving £5 a month over what im paying at the minute - which I though yeah thats how there going to keep me as a customer when I can BB for £11.49 elsewhere - so I told them that I just wanted to cancel as I hated there customer service and could get it for £11.49 elsewhere - she then dropped the price down to £10 a month + vat if I was happy to sign up for a 12 month contract on option 2 - A saving of £15 if I stayed with BT Broadband - I also had her note down that it was used for business purposes on the account so they have no comeback on me (Even tho apparently they wont offer business broadband on a residential line)
So from the 4th May (Next working day) I am on cheaper broadband!
And now I have to venture out in the rain to send the makeup that has been sold today.....
Thinks I need to redo my SOA Again lol£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

I do know I need to deal with my wifes obsessive needs with new things for DS!
I made a breakthrough a few weeks ago, DS needed a little bumbo seat (Allows a young baby to sit up and develop muscles - we went to mothercare and they were £32.99!!!
I nearly poo'd my pants (more polite than what I was going to say) so in the end I managed to convince her ebay was a good option.... £13.50 later and a used one is worming its way to us!£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

NCT secondhand sales can be quite good too. We did get mostly new stuff when DS was born but as we went on that soon changed!! actually don't think we bought loads of clothes as we got loads bought for us when he was born.

NLID mum has just changed internet providers. We didnt like the BT option of 10GB limited download so gone with O2 as our household all have 02 phones we are getting unlimited internet for £7.50 per month with first 3 months free. Brilliant I reckon plus we have an o2 store in town so any problems can be dealt with face to face
can you PM me your ebay link? I'm forever buying make up on ebay, might aswell buy from you0 -
Argh men! (well this particular one) if you can remember I told you about my best friend who decided he had feelings for me? Well he decided that he wanted to get my something for my birthday and because he caught me looking at Links of London charms he's decided he's getting me one. They start at £35 and the particular one I was looking at is £45. Erm eek, I don't want him to spend that much cash on me but he's insisting. What should I do, if I accept it he might think hes 'in there' but I don't want to offend him by declining.
Damn Links of London for being so pretty and expensive.0 -
Nikki, accept on condition that he accepts its purely platonic.0

I've tried to make that clear but it doesn't seem to be sinking in. Plus £45 is a lot of cash, jeez thats what I'm spending on the LO's main birthday present so wouldn't really expect a freind to spend that :rotfl:.
On a money making front I have scored another MS job (and being totally MSE I have got 3 on the same day so saving petrol). This one though means I can get OH's fathers day present for nought, hehe (well the one from the bairn anyway)0 -
Oh well, time to go to my real job . Least its only 3 hours tonight and then off out for dinner later (for my birthday
