OK,
I have been naughty and need to admit it somewhere and bought a car alarm... Its only £35 and from ebay, and I have justified it by stating its for hte car thats going to become the daily driver but some !!!!!! tried to pinch.
Trouble is I still need a set of tyres and a new turbo to get it on the road - So I have bought the £35 item but not hte £200 items lol£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

evenstar I can almost feel your worry and stomach churning in your posts my heart really and truly goes out to you.“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

haha NLID thats funny. but guess you will need all those things eventually. no use getting it roadworthy without an alarm by the sounds of it. so you just got the cheapest item on the list first.
I can justify most things if I put my mind to it.“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

yeah - funny thats my justification as I am not looking forward to putting £200 worth of tyres on there - and am on the lookout for a second hand turbo to try and minimise that cost but htose are still £100 to my door£4142.49/ £131,795.91 - 3.14% paid off or only £129,608.80 to go!

Well, the way I see it NLID, is that if you didn't have the alarm, the car could be pinched, an then your new set of tyres and turbo would be useless!!

Even, will apologise if I sorta overstepped, I guess I have been doing an awful lot of thinking the past few weeks. I can imagine how hard this is on you. I think it is always harder when it is your own family member, wanting to help, guide and keep safe, however doing so at the risk of yourself. I think the hardest thing to do is to step back, and I do feel you concentrating on your grand daughter is great as she must certainly be feeling confused or unsure about things as well.I am somebody.
