I applied to Lionbridge. They prefer people with degrees (coming from them) and expect exceedingly high standards.

Its basically online research from what I gathered.

Can you guess they said they didn't want me lol.

NLID... what about replacing one of your phone lines (once contracts up) with Skype? Obviously you would need a line for t'interweb but the other could easliy be VOIP. I have a skype account for my business number to look more preffessional and to keep it seperate from home life. I purchased a dedicated number for about £20 for the year and a monthly fee of about £4 for unlimited landline calls to UK regional numbers...eg pay extra fees for mobiles, 0845 etc....

As for the loss of business??? It might sound a bit hippy to you at the moment but things do happen for a reason. Something bigger and better will happen. Look at our Munchki over a year unemployed (not for want of trying) and now she has a job, a flat shes moving into in a week or so witha big shiney light at the end of the tunnel. Keep posting on here, we are all here to help and support in anyway we can.

Can someone save me from children today please? DS & DD's cousins have come to play and my god they are hard work!

Still I;ve managed a few little jobs today so not too bad.....

Hi everyone - I'm just figuring out my next step in money making - I'm investigating the idea of selling digital info (as pdf documents).
I need to download free pdf creator software - have asked on the techie board and have been given some suggestions: Cute pdf, Bullzip, primopdf and pdf forge - looked at their websites but can't really get a feel of what they're like to use -
anyone on here ever used free pdf creator software and can recommend which one is best?

I use open office to create pdf, its free and you has something called writer which is just like microsoft word and from there you can save to .pdf

You can download it from http://www.openoffice.org/

Hi everyone - I've just received a survey link from a website evaluation company I occasionally do some work for. They've said it's okay to post a link to it. The survey just checks that you are the right demographic for the job (took a couple of mins -asks age, about occupation, study and, randomly -childminding!). Then they will make a time slot to phone you while you are on the net (I think - evaluating the website). Seems like it will be any day you choose end of this week or all of next.
I've done these website evaluations for them before (but on the net) they usually take about 5-10 mins and pay £1!!! Been signed up with them for about 18 months, work has slowed to nothing recently though.
So this is a bit better. They seem like an okay outfit and will pay by Paypal or Amazon voucher.
    Survey HERE.
    Good Luck!
