  • Clearly someone doesn't have anything better to do with their time. What's your ebay ID, please, so I can block you from ever buying from me?

Please submit your EBay ID so if you ever purchase anything, I can leave you neg... I mean fair feedback

You talk as if their are not ticket touts outside stadiums and concert halls. Ebay did not invest ticket touts, just made the process less dodgy - personally i hate speaking to touts wandering around stadiums.

Whether ticket touting is immoral or not, maybe. But do you lump in legal touts who buy it, throw them in with a coach or package deal? and who would be able to get late tickets if it was not for touting.

Touts usually buy cheap - which means usually buying from people who want to sell. A tout who buys 50 at cost rice runs a risk of not making any money. I had to see a ticket once - cost 35 and sold for 5 as my friend pulled out, that is how they make the money. I had no option.

For some events they can spoil it a little by artificially raising prices. but then if you did not buy it from them maybe they would not - supply and demand and you create the demand.

Its like the UK government supplying Iraq with weapons and then going to war later on because they have weapons.

Do you also sleep with married women and then inform their husbands to make yourself feel better????

    e) Royal pain in the ......

    f) all of the above

    g) concerned and ethical member of society doing his bit

This reminds me a bit of a few years ago when people went mad over Boots Protect & Perfect cream and it sold out in stores. People were selling it on ebay for much more than the shelf price. A number of buyers got cross and started bidding silly amounts purely to win so that they could neg the seller for being 'greedy'. The only problem with their plan was that they kept outbidding the genuine buyers, who in turn began to bid more, pushing the prices up even higher....you can't win by giving them business. One neg is hardly going to destroy them. Enjoy your concert.;)

Rockin_pumber's got it right, it's an anti-ticket-tout stance, regardless of how good the service is. Can he complain about me to eBay? Particularly, if, e.g. I make a point of telling him in a message of why I'm doing it?

It's a difficult one, but having scoured Scarlet Mist and asked friends if they had tickets - which are the two options I use if I have tickets spare - the only option was to buy one on eBay.

So you have an anti ticket tout stance but still bought the tickets?

Not much of a principle is it?
