negative feedback to ticket touts

Rockin_pumber's got it right, it's an anti-ticket-tout stance, regardless of how good the service is. Can he complain about me to eBay? Particularly, if, e.g. I make a point of telling him in a message of why I'm doing it?
It's a difficult one, but having scoured Scarlet Mist and asked friends if they had tickets - which are the two options I use if I have tickets spare - the only option was to buy one on eBay.
It's called unwelcome and malicious bidding - buying with the sole purpose to leave a neg, and is a very effective way to get yourself NARU'd.
However, in the interest of clarity, if you could PM me your ebay ID, I should be able to tell if you are likely to get an instant NARU, or just a warning...<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
If I were the seller and you did that to me, I'd contact the event organiser or venue and get the ticket cancelled.Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

Is this a joke post?
The whole idea is ridiculous. If you buy the ticket from the 'assumed tout' then they will have your money whether you leave a negative or not, it's just a pathetic attempt at a 'protest'.0 -
Yes he will be part of crime syndicate and will come round and kneecap you before necklacing you and all your family.0

Thanks for comments. Points:
1) He/she's a regular tout, not a guy who just can't make this particular gig otherwise I wouldn't even consider giving the person negative feedback
2) They were going to sell the tickets anyway so they've gained 50p by my purchase
3) I don't have a free choice - I had to buy a ticket from a tout, given that gigs do not take place every day. If the touts didn't buy up all the tickets, then I would have had a choice. But I didn't.
4) Leaving negative feedback, particularly when someone has 100% positive, is a small way of making me feel better and making it harder for this person to tout.
5) Esuhl's analogy is so poor I won't waste any more time on it.0 -
Thanks for comments. Points:
1) He/she's a regular tout, not a guy who just can't make this particular gig otherwise I wouldn't even consider giving the person negative feedback -So they are like tescos? Buying the product cheap and selling it at a profit? Isn't that like a free economy?
2) They were going to sell the tickets anyway so they've gained 50p by my purchase-This is an assumption, if nobody bought these tickets the seller would make a loss. Your also forgetting about their listing fees and FVF's.
3) I don't have a free choice - I had to buy a ticket from a tout, given that gigs do not take place every day. If the touts didn't buy up all the tickets, then I would have had a choice. But I didn't.-You DO have a choice! DONT BUY THE TICKETS... or alternatively get out of bed earlier to book your tickets next time. It is no good whining about touts when you are too lazy to organise your own tickets.
4) Leaving negative feedback, particularly when someone has 100% positive, is a small way of making me feel better and making it harder for this person to tout. -??Your now trying to suggest your actions is somehow ethically / morally justifiable! Without seeing the irony that you benefited from the seller. Can we have you ebay ID so you can be added to my block list.
5) Esuhl's analogy is so poor I won't waste any more time on it.
Just my thoughts but I suspect that the majority of people who have replied to this thread think you are an idiot.0 -
You see that, just there on your shoulder? You might want to brush it off, its a massive chip...
You did have a choice, you could have just not bought a ticket, or made more of an effort to get one yourself when they first went on sale! This person is clearly using ebay to supplement their income, you say they made a whole 50p from this? WOW. How does it feel that your giving a neg for no reason whatsoever could ruin a part of someone's livelihood?
If you're that against ticket touting, make a complaint to ebay or something, dont take it out on one single person doing it, they arent the first and will hardly be the last!Mummy to
