Hi there,
Can you add Bid-up Tv to you list, ordered 3 pair of mens shorts (£9.95) and the delivery charge for england was £7.99 (bad I know) but they charged me £10.99 for delivery to Northern Ireland, how can Next (£3.99) Freemans (3.99) charge so little but a tv shopping chanel get away with charging so much?

bad list : won't even deliver to Northern Ireland
PS
It's a great idea for a useful website if someone would build it!
"First stop to online shopping for NI'ers"..
Could even be some TV exposure through fairplay..
I'd link to it..0 -

Interesting list - not a much overlap with the one above - alot of it is insurance/finance....
Reading some of the companies explanations for why they surcharge does sometimes seem half understandable.... but the fact remains that amazon etc manages to do it and they use couriers...
for example - i ordered two items last week ... one of which was this coffee maker
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0000D8Q9E/202-4760262-2906226?v=glance&n=11052681&v=glance
which i managed to get free delivery on and it came via DHL - if the courier was really *surcharging* amazon 15 pounds then overall on this deal amazon would have made a lossI used to have a signature with links to the League Tables for good/bad shipping charges for Northern Ireland. But I have since learnt that this is against site rules - so they are no longer here! PM me if you need them0 -

Free delivery anywhere in UK if you order over £35
They don't have prices as cheap as some of the other techie websites but free delivery can make it worthwhile.
Also I've checked parcelforce before and there is no surcharge to send parcels from a BTxx postcode to anywhere in the UK but there is if you're sending parcels TO a BTxx postcode....0 -
LXDirect have really good prices. Delivery to NI is only £3.50 even for large items like freezers or fridges.0

That sooo bugs me about comet, they've had a couple of good laptop deals on recently and they won't pigging ship one to me!0 -
Heres one, lowestonweb charge £5.88 to deliver to n.i.
i quickly learned that what they did was upgrade you to special delivery to deliver over here, ie, on mainland orders you could get i think 'free' delivery OR pay £5.88 for special delivery.
The don't bother telling you when you place the order about charging extra, they email you the next day, asking confirmation that you will pay the £5.88, so you reply yes. Thus it takes an extra two days to be processed, then arrives the next day, special delivery.
So, for my next order i ordered the item with special delivery at £5.88 to save the two days delay, guess what?? next day email, will you accept a £5.88 surcharge to ship to northern ireland. Replied saying but i've already paid £5.88 for the special delivery upgrade, to which they reply 'no, no you have to pay an extra £5.88 for delivery to northern ireland' ARRRRGGHHHH0 -
i'm waiting on a camera from amazon, delivering to N.Ireland.
it was dispatced on 16th and the parcelforce website says it was last tracked in "national hub later that night.. bu nothing since.
Even though it says delivery is to be expected between 23-25th august.
Amazon have never been this long before.
Should i be enquiring at this stage or will i just be ignored?0 -
I placed an order from https://www.cartridgemonkey.com - delivery was free, and to my surprise the order came the next day!!!!0
