I think this is becuase they use city link, they are just transfering the charge from them onto the customer. I have used scan in the past, and I have used https://www.aria.co.uk quite a lot (I used to build a lot of PC's) and for such a great company with such cheap prices it was spoilt by the surcharge that the courier charged them...

I just ordered a couple of things from the Morphy Richards website (some pretty good discounts on a couple of things that I wanted) and it was free delivery to ALL of the UK. Makes a pleasant change.

Argos/Homebase have been good (B&Q just don't bother delivering at any price).

Screwfix have a £6 surcharge.

At least Boots/Tesco are happy to deliver, which is more than I can say for Sainsbury and Asda even though they have the stores in the area.

I think the surcharge is only one way ? They only charge for England to Here, but not the other way round...

I use ansacart think the site is https://www.ansacart.com for them, they have always been really good, and they don't charge extra for N. Ireland.

Ive changed it to Green and Red lists for the moment ... was considering the idea of an amber list for suppliers who give a moderate surcharge (eg screwfix and toysrus) - what does anyone else think ??

I was re-checking this with a fake order this morning - dont see any surcharge for a pc case to N Ireland - is it just on certain items ?
